Great little place! Reasonable prices, great advice from kind and friendly staff.

I really loved this business. A cute little store with premium pet supplies — typically feed my cat wellness brand — no matter what they needed I always used to be able to find it.
So, I put up with inconvenient hours (Thursday and Friday are the only days they are open late enough for me to get there without leaving early — their abbreviated saturday hours overlap with my second job).
Then a while ago they stopped carrying the brand of treats I was buying for my cat. Fine enough, switched to greenies, products change. Then, they stopped carrying Get Serious — Which, my cat is a rescue, and occasionally she pees on my stuff because she freaks out. Okay. The product they replaced it with was not effective. I ate the cost of the bottle and purchased stuff from pet valu that did work.
Now. I have been trying to get a bag of Guardian Angel Pine cobble litter for three weeks. I first went in August 7^th — my bad — I had not been paying attention and ran out. The person who was working wrote out the kind of litter I needed and told me it would be in the following wednesday. She wrote it down on a small piece of white paper, maybe the back of a receipt.
Then I went back on the 13^th. I was told the product had not been ordered and there was no note ‘in the book’. The person working suggested I try Boubah’s pet store up the street. So I did. They have been closed for what appears to be months. I called the Next Day. I was assured the product would be in today. I left work 30 minutes early today to make sure I could get there before they closed — because my rescue cat — that one that pees on stuff? Yeah, she doesn’t like any of the three alternatives we have tried in the mean time — which means she has been peeing on my stuff for two weeks now.
Today when they promised to order it they took my name and phone number.
I’m super pissed and disappointed. I do not understand how a business can be entirely out of a product they carry and stock ‘regularly’ for 3 entire weeks.

The owner lady is very lovely. She’s usually in the store in mornings. She’s been very helpful with suggestions, and she’s very good with my dog who is quite shy… that’s telling of the owner’s calm and wonderful demeanour. My dog normally does not like people.
The young salespeople not so much, they seem to be in their late teens or early twenties. They just chat amongst themselves and watch you. Very awkward. They aren’t very knowledgeable either.
I am a big fan of this place because they have great grain-​free selection of dog food and also natural dog treats. Close to home too.

Strategically located beside a veterinary office, Mutts & Cats is a cute little addition to the St. Clair West strip. Owner Rosemary is friendly and eager to meet the needs of the local pet owners.
She carries premium brands of cat and dog foods, a good variety of collars, leashes and apparel and a careful selection of miscellany like toys and grooming accessories. The store is quite small but well placed shelves leave enough space for someone to trundle in there with a stroller and two big dogs.
Yes I am one of those people.
Although I am still loyal to Boubah’s down the street, the close proximity of Mutts & Cats makes the prospect of buying big bags of cat litter much less daunting.
