Museum Subway Station

This is the coolest subway station in Toronto. You really feel like you are inside the museum already.

This is the best station from all the ones in Toronto as they have spent little more dollars on this place. It’s quite beautiful and gives a museum like feeling as the area is designed to showcase some of the statues you see in ROM. All the columns are themed to bring history to life.

This is my favorite TTC station by far but unfortunately I don’t get to spend much time using it. Inside the station, I like the museum themed columns of mummies, totem poles and greek pillars, it is fun and is the most memorable station I have been to.

Over the years, I have had to take the lovely TTC around Toronto for work, play and adventure.
Most of the subway stations look like your standard stop… that is, until you reach the Museum Subway Station.
The inside of this station’s platform is very cool and artistic looking! With the big makeover of the ROM, I guess my great city of Toronto decided to make the Museum just as eye catching with its historical and creative columns.
As much as my rides on the subway can be long, going through this stop puts a smile on my face :)

now most of our subway stations are pretty clean, run efficiently and the subways come very often.
i remember the drudgery though of passing by the museum station on my way to work, until one day, years later i went to the royal ontario museum and had to take the subway home.
well since the renovation of the ROM the subway platform is been born anew with each column separating ceiling from floor being done up in a different historical theme.
so for example youll have one designed as a totem pole. theres one with an egyptian theme. one with an asian theme and so on.
plus theyve got cool orange lettering now on the word «museum».
so though its pretty cheesy, somehow its damn cool and nice that they allowed that stop to be the first experience of the museum for those of us who get there by the ttc
