I lived in this residence because of the convenient location. However, the staff working in this building were not the greatest. The main person who was in charge of it was a nice man, but the other staffs were a different story. For one, the house keeping lady that cleaned the washrooms was always on her phone talking in a loud voice. The sound proof is not amazing in a dormitory sort of building, therefore I had to hear her talk on the phone for more than 30 mins at a time, distracting me from my studies and sometimes my nap. One time I walked into the washroom and I almost slipped because the floor in the washroom was completely wet with soap water. I saw the house-keeping cart next to the door so I assume the house-keeping lady was cleaning the floor and did not put any sign saying«wet floor». The same thing also happened on the floor for the elevator waiting area. The washroom stalls always has the same stench no matter what time of the day(even right after she«cleaned» the washroom). The porters working in this building were nice, however the middle aged lady who was in charge of the building always gets annoyed whenever someone asks her a question.(For example, we asked if the heater works in the building in May since the beginning of this summer was still pretty cold, 8 degrees at night time). That lady was so annoyed and looked us like we were crazing for asking if the heater works.

Lived here for the summer — the rooms are pretty small, and definitely spartan, but it’s cozy and comfortable for one. The floors are not very social, and the bathroom maintenance doesn’t seem very good(the bathrooms aren’t gross, but they’re never really very clean either, and the toilet paper/paper towels are never quite restocked). Maintenance in general is very bad — I’m still waiting for my lamp to be replaced, and my neighbor is still waiting for her door lock to be fixed, and it’s been almost a month. The place seems to be mostly filled with students working or doing research, and since it’s all singles it’s hard to meet your neighbors(or even see them ever). One BIG thing is that Morrison doesn’t have kitchens — only kitchenettes that have a fridge, a microwave, and a sink. Would it be too much to ask for to have just one full kitchen in the building? Also, the lack of a gym/weight room of any kind is a little disappointing too, especially since they have them in all the neighboring dorms.
