History

Established in 2006.

Mindzai was originally created in 2006 as a blog about creative culture.

Our mission is and has always been to support the creative community.

In 2012, we switched gears and decided to create a better business model to support artists and we relaunched Mindzai​.com to an online shop where we specialized in designer toys, art, streetwear apparel and other quality creative goods.

In 2013, we expanded further and launched our very first retail shop in Toronto.

The symbol, 目, (pronounced mù in Mandarin) means eye in Chinese, Japanese and Korean. For us, the circle around the 目 symbol represents the zen mind and when combined together, our logo represents the human mind and it’s infinite ability to imagine. Your third eye… Your imagination.

Inspired by the mind and its infinite ability to imagine, founder Chris Tsang played off the words mind’s eye to create Mindzai.

Founded in 2008, Mindzai creates and deals the world’s finest designer toys, streetwear and creative goods. We aim to connect liberal arts with toy collectibles in hopes to keep the world’s lively and thriving artist culture alive.
