Pros — near the water with a nice view and walking path. We got 6 months free cable threw a promotion they have with Rogers cable and you’re allowed pets
Cons — *people smoke weed and cigarettes in the hallway
*dog poo and pee in the hallways, when you tell «management» they say cleaners will get it tomorrow then it sits for three days.
*They let some guy park a huge broken down industrial truck in front of walkway. It’s been there since August it’s a eyesore with flat tires.
*there’s no superintendent
*people fighting in the hallway. No super intendant to separate the fights or tell them to be quiet when it’s 3 am
* there’s not enough parking and the old Indian guy will call city on you and you get 30 $ ticket if you park in «staff parking». Maybe there’d be more parking without a huge broken van there for months.
* we had COCKROACHES for 3 – 4 months. All they do is wait til they get enough complaints then they will put a gel in ur apartment. But first make you move and empty all your stuff. It’s a lot of work.
*dirty halls. They get swept and vacuumed maybe once every other month. There’s coffee cups etc just laying around and the washer and dryers (they cost 2.50 $) and dirty full of pet hair and gross. Never cleaned.
* we never get our mail. Ever. We waited for our hydro bill the office got it and paid it?, guess they opened our mail… then 5 months later send us 160 $ bill saying for hydro and wanted it right away. And we didn’t let the bill just sit, we asked the office about it and we called hydro asking where our bill was. It was our first couple hydro bills ever we weren’t sure how many months they usually wait etc …
* when I was 9 months pregnant in August they complained about my brand new AC unit saying its loud. They can’t legally complain about that
* we had a strong smell of gas in our apartment. When we told office they said there’s no gas appliances don’t worry and didn’t even come and smell it or check, 3 days later I had to call fire department to check air because we have a baby I was worried.
There’s lot of places to rent in Toronto. Rent elsewhere. I heard these people who run it are new, just took over a year ago… They don’t know what they’re doing and they are not hygienic at all.
It’s good if you’re a bachelor and don’t want to have anyone over. Unless you aren’t embarrassed by cockroaches and drug addicts yelling in the highway

I called the 1 – 855 number. Mimico estate is not even registered they can’t pull up address and all they could do IF they were registered is forward a email to office. The problem is with the office not doing anything about problems. The owner isn’t registered though with Capriet so capriet can’t fix or do anything.
