Michael Rotholz, OD

Today was the first time I went to Dr. Rotholz for an eye exam and I am very happy of my choice and experience. Dr. Rothozl is an experienced, knowledgeable and friendly professional. He made me feel very comfortable and while he was testing my eyes he kept informing me of the process and patiently answered all my questions. His advice was very honest: he did not push me or recommend me buying unnecessary services or products. Contrary to that he advised me, based on my eyes and vision condition, not to go for unnecessary tests. I truly appreciate his honesty and professionalism. The staff was very polite and professional too. I think I will stick to their clinic as long as I live in Toronto.

I’m adding one more star in my update as I did a received a refund quickly within the week after corresponding with Dr Rotholz. The service was professional with staff who knew their field. Although he restated that attachments were sent listing fees, location and visit forms prior to the exam, it would have been much appreciated that the staff inform the patient the charges prior to providing the services. This would avoid any misunderstandings in the future and result in all parties involved with two thumbs up.
Further to the email, Dr Rotholz did send some material to justify some of the services provided during my visit including the retinal exam. Although I did not believe that I needed it, I appreciate him taking the time to send this material to me.

I am so happy with the care I receive from Dr. Mike. On a Friday afternoon, having discovered I had a torn retina, within two hours he arranged to have me in Toronto Western having emergency laser surgery. When I was out of the country and having an eye concern, he responded quickly to my emails offering advice and reassurance. He then saw me first thing in the morning after I arrived home the previous evening. He does the necessary tests and explains why he is doing them. He gives me full attention and is very clear and helpful about my particular circumstances. My son comes to see him too. The whole office is friendly and efficient and immensely personable. It is exactly the kind of hands-​on friendly medical care I want. I HIGHLY recommend.

The best way for me to describe Dr. Rotholz’s practice is that it’s a tight ship with personal touch. This is a rare combination, not just for a medical service provider, but for any business, in my opinion.
On all my visits, I’ve been impressed with the professionalism of the entire staff, starting with the professional and courteous reminder emails, to the check-​in, to the administration of tests and check-​up, to the actual examination. Dr. Rotholz and his staff clearly explain all procedures and gladly answer follow-​up questions. I feel comfortable and well treated at all times.
In conclusion, I’m very satisfied with the service I’ve received from Dr. Rotholz and his office and would happily refer family and friends.

Best eye Dr. ever! The office is efficiant and the care is incredible. Our entire family see Dr. Rotholz. He’s great with kids.

They do normal eye exams, and did a retinal scan as well in my last visit. They’re good, I’d refer my family & friends there. I referred my wife, and she’s a happy camper too.
