Specialties
Metro Hound is a do-it-yourself dogwash and dog gear store in the Beach. Come in and give your dog a bath in our spa-like facility. Everything is set up for ease of use, from our built-in wooden stairs so your dog can walk right up into the tub, to our walk-in shower stall which is specially designed to accommodate giant dogs. And you don’t need to bring a thing (besides your dirty dog), as we provide shampoo, conditioner, towels, high-speed blowers for drying, brushes and combs, nail clippers and ear cleaning solution.
And if you’re in need of some groovy gear for your dog, Metro Hound is the place. Come and see our vast selection of collars, leads, beds, mats, toys, treats, coats, sweaters, grooming supplies, and much more.
We look forward to meeting you and your special dog.
History
Established in 2001.
Back when we opened Metro Hound there was no such thing as a self-serve dogwash in Toronto. Eight years and thousands of baths later, we’re still here serving the dirty dogs of Toronto. And we love searching for the next great collar design or indestructable toy or super-comfy bed for your dog. Come in and you’ll see what makes Metro Hound unique.
Meet the Business Owner
Christine K.
Business Owner
In 2001 I left the world of business meetings and pantyhose and chose to start a business of my own. My business goals were pretty simple: to bring my dog to work, wear blue jeans, and spend my days with dogs and dog people. I have no regrets. Metro Hound is my passion, it’s not just a job, and I love coming in to work every day.
