History

Established in 2001.

Boysie has trained dogs since he was a child growing up on his farm. Upon settling permanently in Canada in 2000, he founded Mellow Vibes. Starting as a dog walker, he quickly realized the demand for dog trainers in Toronto, and got his first Canadian dog, Country Boy.

His first clients were people who had seen him training Country in and around High Park and Sorauren Park. Word of mouth has always been Mellow Vibe’s strongest advertisement, and has developed a reputation of excellence over the years.

Now, we are a thriving family business. Our best advertisements are the results of our work, and word of mouth. Please see what others have said about us, and video examples of our work on our site!

Meet the Business Owner

Boysie P.

Business Owner

Boysie has trained animals his whole life. From St. Vincent (an Island in the Caribbean), he lived as a farmer, dealing with all sorts of animals. Training his many dogs for life on the farm, he has a lifetime’s worth of experience.

Boysie’s empathy and experience with animals is the foundation upon which his skills are built, allowing him a unique insight into their behaviour. Starting off as a dog walker when moving to Canada, he soon realized that his skills were something he could make a living with. He immediately went out to get his first dog in Canada, Country Boy.

Country Boy, a boarder collie, was abused on the farm he came from. In 9 days, Boysie rehabilitated him, and got his first job solely for training when a woman in High Park saw him working with Country Boy.

Since then, word of mouth as been his greatest advertising, and he’s gone on to rehabilitate and train hundreds of dogs over the last 14 years, many whose next step was to be given up, or even put down.
