I have been here several times because I can’t access my primary doctor without an appointment. I have also been to Patient Networks and the old office at FCP.
They ignore you.
First off, every single time I walk in, the staff basically ignores you for 3 – 5 minutes. They don’t acknowledge you in any way or form. I waited because I’m curious to see how long they can pull this off in a relatively empty and quiet area. If you look at the pictures they are not exactly inundated with people. They are just on their computer or talking with each other within full view off you.
They don’t seem to be competent.
Second, I went to the doctor to make an appointment to see a specialist. The doctors are fine. I saw Dr. Myers last time. Very polite and cordial. A week later I called to find out what happened to my appointment. They gave me a phone number to the specialist to follow up. The specialist is at the MCI branch at Dundas and Bay. I called that branch and had to make an appointment myself. So what does the staff at Royal do exactly then? I’m the one following up and doing the work.
They don’t seem to be competent. part 2.
The office called to confirm my appointment. At my old home phone number. Luckily my parents still live there and called to tell me this. Why the staff would call my home phone in the middle of the day? I have already provided my cell phone number and work number. Both have voice mail and keep records of missed calls.
My conclusion is that the admission staff doesn’t care and/​or are incompetent.

Our fam doctor is here. She’s fine.
The receptionists are useless. I waited 20 min on hold before they simply hung up. When you show up for scheduled appts, they’re pretty surly.
But surly reception is to be honest, one universal of our health care system. I think it’s so you don’t WANT to call.

My Doctor was fantastic — one of the best I have had — but she has now left the practice. I wasn’t informed, and when I called to make an appointment, her name was still on the phone message. Despite this, the receptionist was quite rude when I called. I was dumped as a patient (I guess the other doctors aren’t taking on her patients and they haven’t replaced her), so I need to look for a new family doctor.
Previously (back when I did have a doctor), the reception staff failed to check me in, resulting in my unnecessarily waiting for over an hour.

the doctors are nice, but the receptionists act like they dont give a shit or care what your ailment is.
I stood alone in line for 3 – 4 minutes, while they were talking amongst themselves about their personal lives before talking to me.

This place is terrible. I had been on waiting list to get a family doctor, and then finally did, in July last year. Somehow my doctor has now moved elsewhere, and all that the clinic told me was that my appointment was cancelled because the Dr moved –no alternative, no doctor replacement, no solution whatsoever. Really sub par service.
On top of that, the receptionists are generally rude, and the one who informed of these changes was particularly rude and unhelpful.
Over the last year, I’ve been to this place only a couple of times, my Dr was fine, but the staff in general isn’t great, they keep you waiting for a long time (even for the supposed appointments).
So I’ll be trying to find a different doctor in a different clinic, and will tell everyone I can to NOT go to this place.

The reception service at this location of ‘MCI The Doctor’s Office’ at 200 Bay Street is beyond bad. I like my doctor so I’m still going there but to make an appointment is very time consuming. The long drawn out process where they read out each doctors name to get to the right number to dial is crazy slow and when you finally do get there they may no even answer. Their staff looks totally miserable (no smiles to be had here) and they are definitely understaffed. Really not a service oriented business. I think the public puts up with them only because they have no choice. I try to make any appointments when I’m there just to avoid their frustrating answering system.

There is a horrible asian lady working in registering patients. She forced me to call my insurance company to send them a fax even though i had my policy, claim and client numbers. i was having a throat infection and barely standing but just because of her arrogant behavior, it took me nearly 1 hour to see the doctor at 9 am.

convenient location. i have never had to wait more than 5 minutes. huge range of services.
my family doctor there is awesome.

If you have an appointment with Dr Barnard Greisman, CANCEL IT.
The guy is the most disrespectful, insensitive, and unhelpful doctor I have ever met. He has plenty of sarcastic jokes about your body and does not have anything useful to tell you about your health. I want to accuse him of being unethical and a pervert, but there’s really never going to be proof of that because he just plays with your emotions. Overall, he’s just a lousy doctor. ⁰⁄₅ stars.

This place is hit and miss but overall the doctors are alright but the lady at walk-​in reception area is not very friendly. It is conveniently located in the PATH which makes it easy to pop-​in at lunch.

This review is for the walk in clinic service that The Doctor’s Office/​MCI Medical Clinic offers.
This medical clinic is situated in the RBC Plaza (bottom food court level) and is conveniently accessible by the PATH system. I arrived at the clinic a little after 9AM and I was surprised to see lots of people sitting in the office already, waiting to be seen by the doctor. «Checking in» was very quick — the receptionists were polite but fast. In other words there was no chit chatting with the patients, they were very efficient in going through the line up of people. Luckily the office is fairly big so there was a place for everyone to sit in while they waited. With only 1 doctor on site I waited 1 hour to finally be seen by the doc. I’ve been told that this is the only WALK IN CLINIC in the PATH system so keep that in mind before you make a trip down there (ie. long wait).

Conveniently located in the PATH, the MCI Medical Clinic seemed like a good option for a walk-​in appointment. I went in at about 1 pm, and experienced a shorter than normal wait time of approximately 15 minutes, which I was very happy about. It is very clean and there is adequate sitting space.
The front desk staff was pretty passive, some were friendly and some just plain rude. The nurse that walked me into my room was much friendlier. The whole experience with the doctor was very rushed. I wanted to ask more questions, but I didn’t even get a chance to. The doctor was helpful though in changing my prescription, which I appreciated. My search for a new family doctor will certainly not end here.

I’m relatively new to Toronto (I just passed the 2 year mark, so kind of?), and didn’t have a family doctor. My coworker recommended a doctor here and I was lucky enough to get in as a new patient. This review reflects being a patient, not the walk-​in clinic.
Some receptionists at the front desk are friendly, some are not. All of them are no-​nonsense which I can appreciate since there are so many patients to take care of. Wait times are short if you have an appointment, and all the nurses I’ve had the pleasure of seeing are very kind. My doctor is great and doesn’t rush you. She also prefers that her patients come for a physical every year, which is fine by me.
Location is convenient (close to Union Station), but it took a while to find the office inside the concourse (at the bottom of the escalators, tucked away). Leave yourself some extra time for your first visit.

Glad to find a walk in clinic conveniently located in the PATH right by work. Its a large walk in clinic and friends have said that they haven’t had to wait very long. I arrived right before lunch hour and waited for around an hour which wasn’t too bad.
The place is clean, the staff was efficient and the doctor was friendly. So glad to have found this place so close to work.

This place has caused me a lot of trouble. They opened newly and are extremely disorganized. Firstly, the walk-​in reception staff is RUDE. But most importantly, this is what they did to me:
I went into the clinic and was asked to take a test. Two weeks later I get a call saying all samples were contaminated and I have to take the test again. I did. Now, only after consistently following up with them for three weeks, they give me my test results. Five weeks lost here, when I am suffering a lot. And only because of inefficiency. There’s no way the results would have taken over 5 business days based on the tests I took.
Then I go to follow up on results and they tell me I need a specialist. Now I’ve been following up about getting the referral for three weeks, and they haven’t yet responded.
So if you really need some attention, don’t go here. If you have generic flu etc, then sure, go ahead. But be prepared to wait for a long time in the wait lines.
