A great venue space for events — like today’s Made in Canada pop up Etsy store(second year that I have gone). There is plenty of space for vendors to set up and for people to walk around and not feel like you are packed in like sardines. There is a basement that has a Tim Hortons. Bank machines are also located inside which is great if the vendor only takes cash. They have seminars here in separate spaces(check the schedule to see what is being offered when on their website). It’s a big and bright space and doesn’t look like you are in some conference room. Great place to have a lecture or workshop. Right by Queen’s Park subway, it’s also pretty convenient location to get to via transit.

I am a huge advocate for MaRS. I know many people who both work for the institution and are operating a startup under its roof. Highly recommend checking it out if you are into innovation or if you’ve got some time to kill while you’re in town.

A sleek and modern looking building. I attended a Mobile Monday event in the auditorium. Seats were plenty and comfortable for a 1 ½ hr long discussion. There’s a mini-food court with a Tim Hortons and few other food places in the basement. A nice event venue. Kinda made me wish I was still in school.

Offers a venue for seminars on innovation, entrepreneurship and scientific knowledge. I’ve seen the auditorium in many different set up — classroom set up, cock tail set up and sort of dinner table and chairs set up. They have entrepreneur 101 series that runs every Tuesdays. This used to be(and perhaps is) favorite venue of Mobile Mondays where innovators can meet venture capitalists. At the core of its mission and values is innovation whether social or business. Would love to work with them in business capacity.
