We serve your favourite, fresh, grab and go sushi. We have California Rolls to specialty Dragon Rolls and Rainbow Rolls. We also have our localized flavour profiles that we have perfected for the knowing tastebuds at York University!

History

Established in 2012.

Although Mac’s Sushi’s grab and go business started over a decade and a half ago, the Mac’s Sushi York University franchise opened in September of 2012.

We are the first location outside of a shopping mall and have a different vibe due to the nature of our location.

Our chefs are well trained and all have expert restaurant experience. We pride ourselves in serving fresh, daily made sushi on site! There are no «roll-​in-​on-​a-​truck» sushi here.

As with other Mac’s Sushi locations, we offer an End-​of-​the-​Day Sushi Sale! It gives everyone an opportunity to receive 30% off fresh sushi and maki. These are not day old sushi! We start the sale at 5pm Monday to Friday.

As a former student of York University, I haven’t set foot on the campus in over 25 years. The first time I came back to scout our new location, I was amazed at how much the campus had changed. It is vibrant and… so much bigger than when I attended.

I left York U. to study Graphic Design and worked in the industry for over 20 years, until there came an opportunity to open a Mac’s Sushi franchise with my sister, Esther.

Although, personally, I am not a chef, you can find my sister making sushi at the shop. We are a family business, which takes great pride in serving fresh and delicious food. Enjoy!
