I paid $ 495 for an assessment for a family member, which is rather steep just to get radiography done in order to determine treatment options. Alas there were no options even after that — she would only do the orthodontic treatment her way or not at all, and that way involved extracting a lot of teeth. A second and third opinion elsewhere presented options from filing a few of the teeth a millimetre, to not filing or extracting any teeth to begin with and instead playing it by ear based on whether the patient is ultimately satisfied with the appearance of the teeth once the necessary correction is done. The total cost for the orthodontic component of the treatment here was also the highest, with additional costs for referrals to specialized radiography and oral surgery, as opposed to everything done in-house at one consolidated and lower cost.

Dr. Virginia Luks and her wonderful assistants are top notch. She is an ‘architect of mouths’ not just an orthodontist. She is very precise with her work. She provides sincere interactions and is very focused on your care and for a busy office I’ve never been left waiting for more than 10 minutes– and that is usually because I’m late! I’ve been a patient for over a year now and every visit has been pleasant if not uplifting… seriously! And they are very supportive– essential when you are going there to be twisted and tightened. I went to her for a second opinion before starting in on my oral surgery/braces route– and she provided over an hour of her time for that initial discussion on her own dime, before I was even her patient. I had braces as a teenager so I can compare orthodontic care, and Dr. Luks provides great care!
