This store is such a pleasure. I hear the owner is a stylist, and it shows. Although costume jewelery is their main focus, this store also boasts a small but unique selection of home décor. A custom art installation of butterflies fills the walls of the main entrance(I overheard the staff tell another customer that each butterfly was hand-cut and individually installed by the artist), followed by a giant glass case that holds their most precious pieces($ 100+). Some bracelets and earrings can be found on the shelves, but this store is really about the necklaces! Most of the store perimeter features rows of large coat hangers on racks, and wall-mounted antlers, all of which are used to hang larger necklaces. Linen dress forms in the front window hold necklaces too — dressed in nothing but jewelery! When I visited this store back in December, there was an enormous selection. Perhaps the then-approaching New Year’s Eve prompted them to bring in more stock? I was disappointed to see that there were fewer necklaces available during my last visit, especially because I was gift shopping. It is a brand new store, so hopefully they will be fully stocked the next time I give them a try. After my last visit I bought a cute ring that I am still happy with, as well as a gift certificate. I must note that the gift certificates are just as beautifully designed as the store: each one is modeled after an antique bank cheque in a sepia tone with thick black ink. Lovely! If the design of this store reeled me in, it’s the pricing of the unique pieces that will keep me coming back. Most of the necklaces start at about $ 40. I think that’s really well-priced for something so one-of-a-kind. I’d have to save up to splurge on something like the gold octopus necklace, or a large ceramic sculpture, but would still consider it a good price for the artistry involved. This store makes a great addition to the West Queen West«design district» strip. Looking forward to what they come up with next.

I love this store. I could spend forever ogling the jewellery and squealing like a little girl. The front section has the more expensive stuff in the glass casing and these are in the hundred range but the back has tons of really cool necklaces and they range from $ 40-$ 120. This is not a traditional jewellery store with gaudy lame pieces and precious stones that make people think they look better than they really do. Mostly made from metals, ribbon, or chains; these pieces are modern and interesting. They also have a selection of cute headbands — very Gossip Girl.
