Loft404 – The Ambrosia Hub

so awkward. but contrary to what Char L stated, I would 100% recommend this place for a college rager party. the décor and set-​up are beautiful — such a breath of fresh air from the usual drab walls and posters at a frat house. there’s gorgeous antique dressers, eclectic vintage frames on the walls, a chaise longue, exposed wooden floors
why this place is prefect for a party:
–designated restroom
–room with a blackboard for drawing
–many small rooms with locking doors for ‘activities’
–small functioning kitchen for prepping snacks
–patio for smoking
–multiple dance spaces so you can have many DJs and different types of music at the same time
–a piano for jazz-​y music
drawbacks:
–elevator on mainfloor is a sh*t show. incredibly slow. doesn’t go to all floors. sometimes drops you off at wrong floor
–if the owner shows up and sees your guests doing lines off the dresser, he will not be impressed
what this places teaches me about myself:
I way prefer private parties over clubbing

This is place is definitely one of the most special and beautiful event spaces in Toronto. It can house so many great events, anything from yoga and meditation to photo shoots to cabaret and acoustic musical performances. They have such a great philosophy and a beautiful energy about the space and support charities, local organizations, and students! Each room is decorated with beautiful vintage furniture, and all these little touches that make it charming and meaningful. I’ve been so lucky to have attended many different events in this space and have seen it transform to accomodate the different flow of activities that took place.
I definitely would not book this place if one was wanting to throw a college rager party — this is not the place! Loft 404 deserves utmost respect and those who are planning to throw an event that you know the audience will not appreciate or know how to take care of, then for sure you must look elsewhere. You’ve got to treat Loft 404 as if it were a home=)

Loft 404 is an inspiring breath of fresh air.
The hardwood floors and exposed brick are the only conventional loft aesthetics you’ll find here; every room in this space is filled with unique, artistic décor. From the front end of an old car under a big bay window to bright fabrics, vintage furniture and old bottles, Loft 404 offers a great energy for any number of purposes.
I used the space for a photo and video shoot and couldn’t be more happy with the results.
If you ever have the chance to use the space or attend an event here, do it!

I had the opportunity to «Experience» Loft404… with a full tour, and explanation of the concept. This space has a very unique atmosphere with furniture and art from all over the world chosen with «good energy» in mind. This space is available to rent for events such as art shows, yoga classes… wedding receptions and just about anything that requires a impressive and functional environment. The space is complete with a kitchen, coat check and a variety of rooms… it is a Loft after all. Love coming here!
