Let’s Get Cooking! is all about building management, team and leadership skills.

We partner with top-​notch kitchens to help management teams improve their performance through the shared, enjoyable experience of cooking and enjoying a fabulous gourmet dinner together.

We bring together the strengths of two successful management consulting organizations working with a state-​of-​the-​art kitchen to deliver a unique group activity experience like no other.

The result is a hands-​on cooking and skill-​building experience that is fun, adventurous and educational, with a high-​end gourmet dinner to top it off!

Our enthusiastic management specialists are Anne T. Roberts and Peter Lawton. We’re based in Toronto and Kingston, Ontario.

History

Established in 2010.

Let’s Get Cooking! was established to fill the need for a fun, hands-​on and enjoyable approach to management team-​building, skill training and leadership development. The founders passionately believe that management team development and leadership training is not a spectator sport, it has to be experienced.

This is not a workshop or a team meeting — It’s an experience designed to harness the collective wisdom, shared, fun experience and expertise of the management team. It is conducted in a safe and confidential learning environment away from the worksite so that people can stretch outside their comfort zone.

Everyone takes away some new management and cooking skills in the process. Afterwards, through a facilitated discussion, we talk about what happened and how we can use the experience to enable the workplace experience. Our participants say to us «Why aren’t our corporate teams more like this?».

Meet the Business Owner

Peter L.

Business Owner

Peter Lawton is a founder of Let’s Get Cooking! He has built a successful management consulting career over many years of extensive, senior management level experience with large consulting companies in Europe and North America. His many projects have included strategy development, system implementation, merger integration, corporate transformation and large-​scale change management, individual and executive team leadership coaching.

Working at a senior level with Mercer Consulting, Coopers and Lybrand Consulting, PriceWaterhouseCoopers, PWC and most recently with IBM, he has held challenging leadership roles in the areas of quality management, process redesign, organization design and transformation, leadership development, organizational culture change, change management, and executive coaching. With IBM’s Global Business Services, he was the global leader for IBM’s On Demand Organizational Change program.
