Extravagant real estate with lavish redesign, at best fair to moderately decent selection even as such big LC stores go, lots of wasted space, clueless service, stupidly short hours waste a prime retail opportunity and much of your and my convenience by closing at 9PM. Get over your nanny state BS, seriously. You waste all this money on operations only to give us such backwards retail of beverages. Ontario is very much a Veal Calf stable when it comes to consumer wine and beer selection, let alone fair pricing and it’s a shame whenever people don’t just know how full of crap it all is.

Being from bc this was my first lcbo experience. Good wine selection, and the standards in everything else. Little off topic, but hopefully they will start selling beer and spirits in private stores. Lcbo hours are really limited. Just like everywhere in Ontario bring your airlines card.

This is my neighbourhood LCBO now. I dock it a two stars for two main things: I wish it had a) longer hours and b) more staff. a) Longer Hours: I think a 10PM closing on weekends is a very fair customer expectation to accommodate for busy peeps who are still trying to make a work-life balance happen! b). Staffing/Layout: although the store layout is not great, the selection is not bad. It’s just that because the store is shaped like a elongated wedge with the most narrow at the storefront with the cash registers, once you are in the back looking for a specific wine, it is difficult to find any staff wandering the back. This can get frustrating. The staff, when you do find one, will most likely be very nice though. Not sure if this is regular practice but the LCBO is hiding their«higher end»(overpriced) liquor like Grey Goose, Ciroc, etc. With the lack of non-cashier staff and having to bring those out from stocks, I can foresee this may take a while for customers looking to purchase those liquor friends. Lucky for me I go through Duty Free often enough ;)

The store is back on Front St. They have a nice selection of vintage wines. The staff are very friendly and knowledgable.

This store has moved a bit and is now on Market street. The façade is different from other LCBO as it has a brick finish(I assume it is to blend in with the St. Lawrence market across the street). However this can be a bit confusing as at first I couldn’t figure out where the entrance and exit for this place were. The inside of the store is also odd as the ceiling has an unfinished industrial look. Surprisingly the lighting is quite dim. The space is much bigger than the tight, narrow store it replaced. There is decent variety of beer, wines etc. The Lineups were also a bit long. I would use this spot as a quick pick and go spot. If I want to spend time I would go to the flagship cooper street location.

When I needs to get my booz on I usually go here. LCBO/Beer Store prices are insane. The price of a decent 6-pack in Canada costs the same as a decent 12-pack in the US. I guess this is so you can have the crappy universal health care system in Canada. The selection of anything is limited due to how small this location is and from the outside the name of the place isn’t LCBO. It’s in some weird French name I can’t pronounce. Sometimes the line here is ridiculously long. You have to time it right. If I have time I go to the one near Dundas and Yonge near Pickle Barrel to get expensive booze. Sometimes there are a lot of dirty hobos there though.

Ice wine… that’s all I buy when I’m in Canada. This location is really convenient because it’s right by the subway stop. Good selection and variety of beer, wine and other spirits. Prices aren’t too bad either.
