King’s Display Rack & Mannequins

Take your business across the street. For racks and shelves they are the same price and have better customer service and you can walk around. King’s display is extremely volatile, racist and abusive. This sounds insane if you’re reading this and have never been here, but they will accost you and shout and attack you for being inside the store. It’s not worth it to go there and risk assault and racist screaming. Literal SCREAMING & throwing things around to the point where you are frightened.
I have no explanation for the behavior, I was so shook up from it that I assumed employees had mental illness, but rather, I think it is just how the store operates which is a very dangerous situation to put yourself in
DO NOT GO HERE. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BEHAVIOR & most importantly, don’t FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY.

Full disclosure — didn’t go in — I just felt like I needed to check-​in following the head turning walk by I did. A mannequin shop — I never really thought that such a thing existed, but it must right? Otherwise where would you get mannequins? They’re unclothed and in full display in the front window. Lots of butts of all shapes and sizes. Cue George Takei.

Worst service ever!!!
They barely let you get through the door before demanding what you are doing there.
I requested to see a mannequin up close because there were three mannequins in front of it. They said «No!»
So I asked to see another mannequin that was closer and they wouldn’t have to move too many things. Their reply was again «No!»
So I said ok, give me a moment.
That sales/​owner left and another one came by.
He also had the same rude attitude and also said no to my requests.
There is absolutely zero customer service in this place.
They make you feel like it’s an inconvenience to receive customers who want to check what they are actually purchasing, instead of just walking in and saying, «give me a few of those».
No smiles here
No customer service either
No interest in others needs
No organization of product
At this point I felt like an inconvenience and decided it was best I leave.
I would rather spend a bit of extra money to receive proper service. Or at least to receive a smile.

This place is so unmemorable that I can’t even recall what kind of business they run nor can I remember anything about their shop. Perhaps if I hadn’t gotten berated and chased away by the menopausal shopowner with a makeshift watergun, I could have written a more detailed review.
This shop was not well kept to any degree. Displays and mannequins were all very dusty and dated. Everything was highly overpriced for items that seemed to serve no clear purpose.
I would like to emphasize that the customer service here needs some serious attention. This shop does not belong on Adelaide; should consider moving to backstreets behind Dragon City.

Walking into this store is similar to stepping into the Serengeti. The staff are reminiscent to wild animals yelling and hollering at people and ready to attack at a moments notice. I literally was attacked when I walked into a employees only aisle which was hardly my fault when a piece of string separated the loose and dusty limbs of mannequins sprawling all over this disaster of a business.
What an embarrassment of an establishment please do not feed these animals.

Worst store I have ever been in. Wish I could say their stock is good, but I was ejected from the store before I even got to browse. Will never be buying mannequins from them ever. Apparently they are «not open to the public,» however there are no signs or anything indicating this. Would give a 0 if it were possible.

Do you need a styrofoam head? I needed a styrofoam head. It’s sort of a long story.
See there’s this horse head. In my office. Not a real horse head. Arguably not a real office. It’s rubber. The horse head. Not the office. Anyhow there’s this rubber horse head mask in my office. Still with me?
So there’s this rubber horse head mask in my office. Like most masks, it is meant to be worn on a head. A human head. Not a horse head. This isn’t complicated. Why would a horse need a horse mask? A horse head already looks like a horse head. No. A human head. And when someone is wearing the mask– a human– when a human is wearing the mask, as per the design parameters, well then everything is just fine. It is a good horse head mask.
But when the mask is not on a (human!) head, it doesn’t have a lot of structure. It sort of falls flat. Like a piece of rubber shaped like a horse’s head might. Maybe that’s okay for a normal office. Maybe that’s expected. I bet it helps with storage. But this isn’t a normal office. We’ve covered that. We don’t have normal expectations for our heads. Our rubber horse heads. I think we have normal expectations for our human heads.
We want our horse head to stare out the window. At the office across the street. The presumably normal office. With presumably normal expectations about rubber horse heads. We think it will help our office seem friendlier. To do that, the horse head can’t fall flat. It needs to stand up. Like it does when it is on a human head. But we don’t have any spare human heads. I think most normal offices don’t have spare human heads. In this way our office is quite normal. All human heads are spoken for. No one is willing to part with their human head, either.
Spare human heads are hard to acquire. And they have upkeep requirements. Our office is reluctant to support the upkeep of a spare human head. I think this is also pretty normal. But our office is near King’s Display Rack & Mannequins. And they have styrofoam heads. Styrofoam human heads. In fact they have a wide variety of ersatz human heads. There are high gloss plastic human heads, but they are expensive. There are ersatz (human) heads attached to ersatz (human) bodies, but they are cumbersome, and even more expensive.
But for seven dollars and fifty cents they have styrofoam human heads. I bought one. It is a good styrofoam human head. Certainly seven dollars and fifty cents worth of good. To be honest, I would have paid ten dollars for a styrofoam human head of this quality. It has a neutral expression, but you can’t really tell when it’s wearing the rubber horse head mask.
Now the horse head sits on the styrofoam human head and stares across the street at the other office and the whole place feels friendlier.
