King Strachan Touchless Car Wash

This car wash was shockingly terrible. All the dirt was still as plain as before with these zig zag lines where the spray just lightly touched. Don’t bother… $ 10 down the tubes pfft !

Took my car through this car wash and it wasn’t even that dirty. The wash was awful, and the car was worse looking after as it just had clean parts mixed in with dirty parts. Called to owner and he couldn’t have cared less. After waiting for 15 minutes he showed up driving an old Pathfinder and didn’t think there was anything wrong with the way my car looked. I will never go back to this car wash again!

Well, it’s water and it’s wet. I have a beautiful car that barely ever leaves my garage, and today I decided to wash off some of that garage grime. Went through, came out and then spent 15 minutes trying to get rid of the soapy residue on my side panels. The machine seems to blast strong enough from the front, but the siderinse left all kinds of mung on the car. I didn’t expect the rims to come spotlessly clean (and they didn’t), but the soap residue was a disappointment. $ 10.

The first time I went worked out great. The manager was there servicing the payment machine and he gave me a mini tutorial with helpful tips (e.g., if you get the package that includes the undercarriage wash, drive slowly or you’ll miss it). It was about $ 10 for a wash and wax and the windows and body were left surprisingly streak-​free. They have vacuums you can use for the interior.
My only complaint is that the second time I went the machine wouldn’t accept any kind of payment. I tried paper money, toonies and a credit card to no avail, yet the machine didn’t indicate it was out of order.

The King Strachan Car Wash certainly sounds regal but it’s anything but pretentious. It’s a do-​it-​yourself car wash. With no attendants necessary, you pay at the console, you drive in your car and wait for it to do the rest. It’s pretty much that simple.
Offering several choices of wash service, it’s also a touch-​less car wash, meaning you don’t need to worry about any brushes or rotors messing up your beautiful paint job. I drive a 1999 Toyota Corolla with 322,000 km on it. I don’t worry about such things. That said, I do like a nice car wash. It’s not only a good wash, but it’s also fast, as in my times going there, I’ve only had to wait once for a wash.
Also, because there are no attendants necessary, you’re able to get a wash 24 hours a day. Not that I often find myself waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat wondering if the car’s dirty, but it’s a good option to have if you happen to be coming home late and want to make sure the car looks snazzy for the next day.
