I got a few of large body parts done here for laser hair removal. I was able to see the difference immediately after the first session.
Writing a month or so after completing 7 sessions, the hair still grows back on my arms but barely noticable. The legs have small patches of dark hairs, and the underarm still has growth albeit less. Each body responds differently so I cant expect perfection. I will be back for touch up sessions.
When I come here I feel like I’m getting quality service with integrity, and Hoda is super gentle.
Just to give you a heads up this service is set in an unrelated business office. Hoda has two rooms rented out here for her various services. Dont expect a spa setting. However, your skin or hair follicles dont know the difference (about the setting), so it doesnt matter.
I would also recommend booking 1 or 2 sessions ahead if possible.

I’ve been holding off writing this post for a while mostly because Huda is a fantastic person –she is kind, caring, soft spoken and attentive to your needs, but I want to help other girls out here like me that are struggling with excess hair. In the hopes that you will read this don’t waste your time and go here. Because when I go for laser hair removal I go for the results! I have had 11 sessions for facial hair removal with little to no results! I even got my hormones checked to see if that was what was making the hair grow back after every appointment, but my hormones are fine, the laser (which is actually an IPL) is just not good. She uses a laser called elos laser which is a better version of the IPL but an IPL is just not strong enough to show results-​It is not an actual laser! I have had 3 sessions for body hair removal as well and I see absolutely no difference! The hair hasn’t even fallen off after the sessions. In conclusion if you want real results do not go here, I have now gone to an actual laser hair removal spa where they use an actual laser (the gentle yag) and only after 3 treatments, I have seen a dramatic effect in the reduction of hair-​and it is not growing back. In short save your money folks and go to an actual spa where they use actual lasers that lead to actual results.

Hard to book time — must book 1 – 2 months out
The lasers are weaker than at other places I’ve been (e.g. their IPLs have no effect on me, whereas other places I would see an immediate effect; the hair removal lasers are also weaker)
While the owner/​operator is nice enough, but it’s a one woman show, so don’t expect to be dealing with a professional business, such as a receptionist, timely replies, proper cancellation policies, etc.
Far out location

I am so happy I found this place. Hoda is very professional, friendly, and genuine. I love the privacy as it is her and her husband who run the spa. I’ve been a client for about 6 months and I also bring my husband for hair removal sessions. The results are amazing! Her lasers are top of the line. There is no pain at all, only warmth. I am thrilled with the results so far! I find the prices are very competitive as well. You can’t beat $ 79 for 7 sessions on a small area of hair removal. I’ve also been getting her photo facials and I am thrilled at those results also. My skin has never looked better. I highly recommend this place and will be a long time client myself.

I bought a service from groupon around October 2014 and Hoda was very accommodating and assured me that she would still honour my Groupon, despite the stated expiry date.
Experience:
As a new client of Karisma, I was very impressed with the service that Hoda provided to me. I went in for my first session for laser hair removal on Feb. 14^th. I initially was only going in to get my underarms, but thanks to Hoda, I ended up doing all three small areas. The procedure only took 30 min. and that is for three areas. Hoda started with the paper work or admin. stuff and walked me through how we would proceed and she also took the time to explain her machines. Her newest machine is impeccable. It’s performance is amazing, I barely felt anything except for a warm glaze of heat. We started my first session at a higher setting and my skin was fine, where we didn’t see any inflammation or red skin. Hoda was very pleasant to work with; she approached my appointment in a professional and friendly manner. She offers many other services, in which I cannot wait to try, like photofacials. As a side note, just in case you forgot to shave a certain area or two, Hoda does offer to shave off the hair on those areas to treat. Razors are clean and disposable.
Price:
The cost of her services are manageable and much more affordable than other like competitors that offer similar services, such as laser hair removal. Aside from Groupon, she openly offers the same promotion in her clinic. I have three small areas to be treated by Hoda. During your appointment, you can either bring a print version of your groupon or present it from your phone, where she can scan the barcode. Please keep in mind that you have to pay for taxes during your visit. Don’t forget to tip!*
Location:
Karisma MediSpa is located near McCowan/​Ellesmere; minutes away from Scarborough Town Centre and the McCowan RT station. During weekends, there are certain procedures to enter the building, and that information can be obtained from Hoda. It’s very easy finding the building; it is on the North side of St. Louis Bar and Grill. The clinic is located on the 7^th floor. If you are taking the TTC; you can either exit from the mall from the Cineplex side and walk past the YMCA (3min) or exit from the McCowan RT station (3−4min).
Verdict:
Whether it’s your first time getting laser hair removal or you’re an avid experienced user, I highly recommend going to Hoda at Karisma. She’s very gentle, knowledgeable, and friendly. Her machine is so impressive and you can barely feel anything, well at least for me. I cannot wait to go back for my next few sessions and see more results!

Huda Abdul is very good and the rates are also very cheap it will be around 12 dollar per session for small part. I am very satisfied with the service. I highly recommend this place!
