Dr. Joseph Csumrik’s practice focuses on sports and extremity related injuries! Through various chiropractic techniques like Active Release Therapy (ART) and medical acupuncture, we work to resolve sports injuries and prevent further re-occurrence. Through a preliminary consultation we can gather a thorough history and perform a complete orthopedic and neurological examination on the joint or body part in question. We do this in order to determine a diagnosis and formulate a plan of management to treat the injury. After the initial examination and consent of the patient we begin treatment. This can consist of a combination of chiropractic manipulation, medical acupuncture, Active Release Therapy (ART) and rehabilitative exercises. The patient can expect decreased pain and inflammation of joints, increase range of motion of your joints, increased strength and the prevention of further injury.

Established in 2003 in Toronto by Peter Tebruegge, RMT, ND; gesund is a multidiscipline health care clinic located close to Yonge and Bloor streets in downtown Toronto. Our services include; Naturopathic Medicine, Chiropractic, Registered Massage Therapy, Acupuncture and Nutritional Counselling.

Business Owner
Peter has experience in treating a wide range of conditions of the musculoskeletal system including sports related injuries such as sprains and strains, low back pain, headaches and migraines, arthritis, fibromyalgia, complications of Parkinson’s, and multiple sclerosis (MS) just to name a few. As well as experience in developing personalised treatment plans for such purposes as general nutrition, fitness nutrition, weight loss and smoking cessation.
In addition to clinical practice Peter works as an associate professor of physical medicine and functional anatomy at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM). Peter is also a clinical supervisor at the Sherbourne Health Centre serving Toronto’s HIV positive community.
