I’ve been told the customer service in this store is terrible, but continue to be surprised… at least three different people have stopped going here due to this — I recently went in with a friend and received the iciest response. If it were an isolated incident I would’ve shrugged it off, however I’m now used to it from the staff here. It’s frustrating because I want to support local business owners(I buy all of my clothing from local designers) but it is difficult when we’re made to feel like the staff is doing us a favour. Will be connecting with the manager directly after this episode and hopefully will be heard :)

I LOVE perusing the selection of this store, because they always have some great options. But I have yet to buy anything from Imelda, and even when I am determined to buy a pair of shoes/boots, I always find myself leaving empty-handed. Why? Because just as other reviewers have stressed, the customer service just SUCKS. And for a community type of store, that is a major disappointment. I’m all for shopping local and supporting small business owners. But there’s got to be a bit of give and take. And with Imelda, there doesn’t seem to be any give, except cold attitude. And there is lots of take, because the prices aren’t cheap. Come on Imelda, greet your customers as they walk through the door! Ask them if they want any help, offer to check sizes, check on customers while they’re trying the shoes on.

I really like this shoe store for everyday types of shoes and bags. Their style is definitely more comfort than glam with a wide variety of chunky strappy sandals and wedges, leather clogs and ankle boots. Prices ranged from about $ 100 to $ 250, but when I visited, they had an amazing sale on with prices at least $ 50 lower than stated. They have a pretty big selection of purses too, — small leather side purses and large shoulder bags. The owner also runs Frock down the street, so I think they share inventory. I agree with Marie F on service, they were very slow the day I shopped there as well, which I found odd for a small independent store. Overall, it’s a handy shoe store for the area with some cute brands of shoes(ex. Dolce Vita, El Naturalista, Miz Mooz, Fly London, Frey).

I can’t beleive I am saying this… but I left this shoe store EMPTYHANDED! Intrigued? Read on… I actually said«Uh Oh» when I walked by this store. The store is called Imelda, presumably named after my fashion hero Imelda Marcos! Mrs. Marcos is the epedimy of fashion extravagance and is said to have owned over 3000 pairs of shoes. Imelda carries many great brands including Melissa, Frey, Miz Mooz and El Naturalista. I walked in and the sales person was on the phone. No worries. She gets off the phone and proceeds to go to the back and starts a conversation with a second associate. Sadly this store falls flat and is essentially Balisi,( ), minus the awesome service. Persuading me to buy shoes is not a hard task… I am easy sale, and yet I bought nothing!
