Hue Spa Detox Clinic

I went to this spa last year and really loved the deep tissue detox massage. I took me a year to go back again. I was there for my second time today and had such an amazing massage again by a lady named Merry. A whole hour of bliss for me. deep tissue massage for what seemed like forever (which is great) then hot stone massage, followed by oil massage. all this while light music played in the background making it more relaxing.
I don’t know how this woman did not get tired, for a whole hour the pressure she used for my back, neck, legs was great!
The lady asked me a few times if the pressure she was putting on was ok for me. I appreciated that.
I ended up buying a deal they offered at the end of the session. I am due back to visit this place another 6 times.
The only thing I can think of saying that I think they should really fix, is to give their receptionist more information about the services they offer. When I asked her about the other massages she didn’t know much about them. It would be more helpful if she can give you details about what a particular massage entails.
If you like to go to a fancy place and have a spa day this is probably not the best place as Hue spa is… well not that fancy looking on the outside or inside. But it has been clean both times I went and still very nice … just not «luxury»
If you don’t want to spend a ridiculous amount but still have a great massage, I’d highly recommend this place.

I bought a deal on groupon and honestly wasn’t expecting much but wow, I can’t be any happier right now. I got caught in traffic and was running late about 10 minute but they still accommodated me since I gave them a call on the way there. Receptionist was friendly and the I definitely appreciated the parking at the back. I was sort of surprised by the way building looked from outside but hey, for the price you pay you can’t complain. It’s clean inside and that’s all it matters… and let me just tell you what’s important, the massage. I got 60 minute detoxifying massage from this lady named Esther and it was Ah-​Mazing! I’ve been to fancy and luxurious spas before but this was probably one of my top 3 massages ever! She started with regular massage and than went on to hot stone massage + oil massage. It was my first hot stone massage and it was super relaxing. Groupon is only a one time thing for new clients but they offer you new client deals when you pay for taxes + tip (not mandatory but I had to obviously) so take advantage of it! Only down side is that when you book through groupon, you can’t choose your masseuse but maybe they can make some adjustments if you ask them. I bought 2 giftcards before I left and I will definitely be back!

Bought a Groupon deal here for a Detox massage and tried this massage clinic for the first time I had a great time for a first experience. I’m a competitive athlete so I do a lot of high intensity sports and feel sore very often. I had John who was a good masseur. He dug his hands and elbows into my pressure points and body and it felt good. He used the right amount of pressure and had good techniques. The oil massage was quite nice and I love the hot stones as they were nice and hot and feel good on the body. Overall, it was a good experience and would definitely come back.

Although it was a nice environment, there are much better places out there. Booking is a pain in the ass. And in terms of service, not only is it pricey, massage turned my tired back into a sore back with bruises and you are expected to pay TIPS. If you are delicate, their massage is not for you.

After I had a massage there, I was suggested to buy a gift card for next time ussage. But I’m unable to book appointment whenever I mentioned I want to use the gift card. They are fulky booked all the tome Not suggested spa.

I had a massage session and it was amazing. After a few minutes into the head massage, I started snoring, according to my wife next to me. ;)

And that’s what exactly States on my review, the therapist did not even touch my legs. And to think that this is not the first time I’ve had this service, so I know what to expect. The fact of the matter is, there is no consistency on the service being provided.

If you get the Groupon for 60 min Detox masaage like I did, be prepared to pay $ 10 since «tip and tax is not included in the Groupon». I was amazed how good the massage was, so I tipped gladly. They use hot stone at the very end so be patient. They’re quite thorough with the massage and spend enough time in each area.

Although I enjoyed the deal here fr deal sites. I would not pay regular price to come here again. I did enjoy the spa but would try somewhere else. They also crazy booked and hours don’t work for my schedule. Overall good deal when there is one.

I want to give zero star.
The receptionist was SUPER unfriendly on the phone.
I bought a voucher from Buytopia and tried to book an appointment on the phone. She was giving me attitude when I told her about using the voucher.

I would give this place a 3.5 stars based on their Living Social Deal: 1-​hour detox deep tissue massage, which comes with oils and hot stones. I’ve been twice using this deal, for $ 35.
This was a very convenient location for me, and there was parking in the back, so I thought I’d give it a try. Both times I went, there were snowstorms, but they managed to salt the walkway and shovel the snow by the time I arrived, which was at 11:30am. When you walk through the front door, there is a sign in front requesting clients to take off their shoes and to use the slippers that are located on the left side of the wall. You are supposed to leave your shoes by the doorway area.
The massage was very relaxing. I loved the oils and hot stones. The staff are friendly and they ask to ensure that the pressure is right for you.
What I didn’t like the first time I went was that the receptionist handed me this paper stating the service I was going to receive and that most customers give $ 10 tip. I thought it was a bit annoying to suggest the tip amount, but I guess some people have not been giving as much and they needed to emphasize that? Anyway, tax was not included in the price of the deal so you would have to pay for that after the service was over. They will also offer you a $ 40 (includes tax) gift card for the same service, but has no expiry.
It’s also too bad that you have to pay an extra $ 20 to get an RMT receipt.
Anyway, regardless, I still purchased a few more deals afterwards. It’s very close to home and the massage itself was indeed relaxing. I definitely wouldn’t pay the full regular price for it though.
Note: After using three living social deals, I was told by the receptionist that I would have to pay regular price next time since the deal was for first time customers only. Thought this was annoying because why would they allow you to purchase five at a time if that was the case?

Got a free massage here and I wish I didn’t make the trip to redeem it. My massage was conducted with a sheet over my back the entire time until it came time for the aromatherapy oils which was just a whole bunch of baby oil dumped on my back and rubbed around for a while until it had to be wiped off with a wash cloth. Definitely not worth it. I would not recommend this place even if the price seems good.

Came here the other day to get a 60-​minute detox deep-​tissue massage with aromatic oils and hot stones deal I got from Groupon for $ 35 ($ 80 originally), the experience was not bad, not the best I’ve had for a massage but for the price it was reasonable.
When you first get in, you have to take your shoes off at the entrance and put on their slippers provided on the wall, then you go to reception to check in. The receptionist will give you a layout of the Groupon Deal, what it doesn’t tell you on Groupon is that you have to pay for the taxes after your appointment AND also on the layout the spa writes out in big that you SHOULD tip $ 10 because of the deal you’re getting, basically guilty-​tripping you into having to tip because you got the Groupon Deal.
I was then taken to the room and got under the sheets.
The massage was good and took out the tightness of my muscle, hot stone was nice and the oil massage was good too.
Overall it was a pleasant experience but I wouldn’t go back again just because I like to try out different massage places.
Also when you go pay after your massage, they offer you another giftcard option for the Groupon price for another massage if you’re interested in going back!

Bought 2 vouchers from Buytopia at $ 27. The massage was done on time but it doesn’t feel like a spa. There were no zen decoration or anything like that… The room where I had the massage was all red and old fashioned. The spa is located just right on a busy street and you can easily hear the traffic from the room.
The massage itself was ok. The lady didn’t bother to ask if the massage was hurting or even ask if the stone was hot. Also they make you read they policy and clearly mention that you should at least give them $ 10 tips. Literally disappointed and won’t be back.

I couldn’t wait to go home and write my thoughts on this place. First of all it was my first time coming here, bought a groupon deal for $ 35 which included a 60minute «deep tissue massage» cool. I got two and even upgraded to the RMT one.
Alright so, at first glance when you see this place, it looks a little sketch because it’s doesn’t look like a spa from the outside but u can’t judge a book by its cover so off my boyfriend & I go. They’re front door seriously needs some WD40 or some adjustment, because every time someone opened/​closed the door, the impact shooked the damn house. Anyways… we Booked the appointment days ahead for 730 on a Friday night. Boyfriend and I got there at about 7:05pm. We wait as we were early for our appt. then they call us in at exactly 730.
The two ladies accompanied us upstairs to our room and long behold the damn room wasn’t even ready! Dirty linens were still sitting there from previous clients and wasn’t ready for us. GROSS. Whatever took them 10minutes to make the changes.
Finally our massage started. This DEFINITELY was not a deep tissue massage rather some lady rubbing oil on my back. -.- Anyhow at literally 40minutes in, our massage ended. BUT… I thought I paid for 60min massage?
We got dressed and what not. Went back to the receptionist named «Kit» with short black hair and voiced that our massage was not the full 60. she had the audacity to say that we were late so that was the reason why, how the staff needed time to change the rooms (but why were we called up to go if it wasn’t ready? And why was it that the staff who opened the door were surprised too?), then she said that the cleaning of the rooms was part of the 60mins and that there was nothing we could do in terms of the service fee, unless we tip our massage ladies less. HOW EFFIN DARE! We wanted to talk to the manager and tell him what’s up but without even trying to call she immediately said «u can’t get a hold of him», when asked, she didn’t give us his name or his number. We weren’t planning on leaving anytime soon as I was just getting started with her. Eventually, she gets a hold of him and does the changes. (We ended up only paying for 40mins of the RMT massage). I was not going to get cheated for my money so thanks but no thanks for your effort kit.
None the less, They need to better educate they’re staff if they want to leave an impression on their guest. I was so upset leaving that place that I was ready to walk out not paying at all ! Not apologizing to your guest is one thing but the audacity for that receptionist to BLAME us that we had this terrible experience is just borderline DUMB and that is why I am here. She took no responsibility for what she said and the little she did to assure that our situation was getting attended to.
For everyone out there that is considering going to this place do your research, be prepared to be let down and don’t be pushed over by people who don’t know how to manage a business properly. No wonder why they’re selling themselves on group on

I’m very reluctant to leave 1 star reviews as I know these can affect businesses deeply but when I feel they are warranted I do so with no guilt.
My experience with Hue Spa was nothing short of unpleasant right from the get-​go.
Firstly the receptionist gave us incorrect directions to get to the location. We arrived 15 min late as a result on a Saturday morning. We were told that because of this the 60 min massage would be 35 min.
We asked to come back another time but were told that once you have a reservation you cannot cancel within a 24 hour window. With no other option, we agreed and were led upstairs by two women who looked to be quite young.
They could barely speak English (which isn’t a problem) but tried to instruct my GF and I to wear clothing they provided. For men it was a large pair of shorts but I had no idea if these were cleaned or just worn by a prior client.
The location is a house on Finch street, and while it looks professional from the outside, once you get in, it’s basically just massage tables in random rooms all over the house. There is no professional setup here. Just massage tables in bare rooms. The rooms themselves don’t look particularly clean, and I was a little put off by this. But still didn’t say anything.
The girls performing the massage were most definitely not RMT’s but the group voucher we purchased did say we would be getting an RMT massage. Again no complaints on my part.
The girls themselves were nice and didn’t say much (most likely due to language barrier) and did a decent job with the skills they had. The hot stone massage was pleasant and I did enjoy it.
To their credit they did go a little past 35 min. Probably 40 min total. When we were done, we went down to the receptionist who instructed us that we need to pay tax on the massage of $ 5.
A little shady on their part but what really got me was the lady insisted on a tip. If the service was top notch I would have gladly obliged but instead I just shook my head and left.
I can’t recommend this place, and it is very unlikely that I’ll ever go back again.

The worst spa. I bought 2 vouchers online in February, but cannot book an appointment. No one answers nor return my calls. This spa is scamming clients.

If I were rich, I’d come back every week!
I purchased the deal on groupon for $ 35 for a one hr deep tissue massage w/​oils & stones. The appointment started on time and overall it was a wonderful experience. The place was very clean including the room. The lady was nice and wasn’t talkative (which i like cuz who wouldn’t want to enjoy their time in peace?). I had worked out 4 days straight prior to the massage and had been SUPER sore. After the massage I felt like a new person!
I was also offered additional deals after and purchased another $ 35 one hr detox body massage again (no tax). There were facial deals, etc. but it was not as appealing as the massage.
Lots of parking at the back and a few mins walk from Finch station. Can’t wait to come back soon

Very good overall: friendly service including being provided with slippers upon entering, decently priced, and only thing that could be improved was having clean sheets on the massage table.
I went for a Groupon Now deal, which I’ve typically found to be quite limited in terms of describing what was included, and this was no exception. Nevertheless, once I got to the location a few mins late for my appointment, I was greeted with a smile. After the receptionist provided me with slippers, she had me go to their lobby where they had a laminated description of what the deal I had purchased included. It had a few things mentioned that weren’t on the Groupon Now deal, but I had no problem with that (basically it included hot stone & oil massage).
After agreeing to what was included, I was asked to sit in the waiting area. There, I was offered some Korean tea, which was rather pleasant.
I was taken into the one of their massage rooms, and asked to change into a pair of shorts I was provided with. They seemed to be «one size fits all,» as they were definitely too big for me, but the draw string made that all OK. While I was changing, I noticed at least one very large stain on the sheets that were on the massage table.
The massage itself was quite pleasant. The only problem I had was that my throat was being crushed the way I was lying, but I’d be willing to take blame for this, since I didn’t mention it to the masseuse, giving her the opportunity to correct the situation.
At the end, the receptionist reminded me about the tip (which was initially mentioned when she went through the laminated description of the package I had purchased), and offered to sell me a gift card costing the same amount as I had paid for my Now deal and saving the taxes, to give to a friend. Since the location was a bit out of the way for anyone I knew, I refused that deal.
So all-​in-​all, the experience was quite positive, which the exception of the soiled sheet. I’d go back to this venue again if I was in the area, however this time I’d be sure to mention if I was uncomfortable due to the front of my neck being crushed :-)
