Homewood Suites – Toronto Airport Corporate Center

Samantha and Raj are excellent front desk people. They have a ton of snacks you can purchase, along with food you can microwave. The beds are pretty comfy and love the homey aspect. It doesn’t feel like a hotel. More like home. The fitness room is very nice. My only wish is that they could offer organic food as well for breakfast. Sure it might be more expensive but the quality can’t be beat.

An excellent hotel in the Toronto area. Our room was clean and well-​organized, though the hotel’s location was a bit remote from Toronto itself. The staff was very polite to us upon check-​in and check-​out, and we were permitted to leave our bags when we checked out for a final day of Toronto excursions before we went to the airport. The shuttle from this hotel to the airport is very convenient, especially since there is good public transit from the airport into Toronto proper. I would recommend staying here if you need a good hotel near Toronto.

Great breakfast as always, but yesterday there were only egg and bacon options. No. Vegetarian options, except for French toast which is not a vegetable, and which got o we soon!

We had a very strange front desk experience. When my husband and I were checking in, the front desk man did not acknowledge me, look at me, or speak directly to me the entire time we stood there. Even though the reservation was in MY name and I had prepaid online with MY credit card, he only looked and spoke directly to my husband. Even when I asked questions, he wouldn’t look at me but would direct the answer to my husband only. It’s as though I were invisible. I have never experienced anything like this and would describe it as sexist. I know for certain that my hair wasn’t sticking up in some absurd manner nor was there anything hanging out of my nose because I checked my appearance in the car before we walked into the lobby so this couldn’t be the reason. This experience made me feel very uncomfortable.
When we got to our room our room keys didn’t work and a man passing in the hall said his didn’t work either and he had to go downstairs to have them fixed so that is what we did. The rest of our stay was pleasant. Our room was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with a separate living and sleeping area, kitchen with fridge, microwave, stove top, sink, pots and pans, and silverware. Even though the room was exceptionally quiet all day, we didn’t get the best sleep because we found the bed and pillows uncomfortable. We really liked that Mon-​Thur there was a light dinner offered and breakfast every morning and the quality of both was very good. One night was «make your own sandwich» night and they had out warm turkey and ham slices, potato salad, mini salad bar, tuna and crackers, and small potato chunks. Beverages were juices and water. For breakfast they had premade omelets, bacon, yogurt, bread selection, waffle maker, and some fruit.
Unfortunately, there wasn’t a hot tub, but we enjoyed the heated pool. The gym was small but nicely set up. The parking lot was the smallest I’ve ever seen for a hotel but it was free. The free wifi worked okay. We’d have no problem staying here again. Hopefully customer service would be better in the future.
Update: I received a call from hotel management offering their apology for my experience at the front desk and said they would use that information for retraining purposes. I appreciate their quick response very much.

This hotel is very nice and the staff is very helpful. I visited from the United States for a long weekend. I knew Hilton was great name and I’m glad the Homewood Suites kept up with that representation. The room was very clean and big! We had a kitchenette with a living room and two queen beds. The bathroom was very large as well. Overall the hotel was very nice and I had a great stay!

Homewood Suites is a excellent hotel. Clean and with lots of extras like free parking, great breakfast, nice comfortable beds, free fast wifi, micro wave oven, flat screen TV, full fridge in a new clean suite.
We stayed in a one bedroom suite that gives you lots of extra room and two flat screen TV’s so people can watch difference shows. We had our grandson with us so this was perfect. There is even a dishwasher.

This is not a 4 star hotel, but it is best in its class! The 2-​bedroom suite offers 2 ensuite bedrooms (2 master baths), kitchen, living room, and 3 plasma TVs. What more could you want? What’s more, the hotel is spotless. I am surprised and very grateful for that. Will definitely stay again. Wonderful experience.

This hotel is amazing. We just got home from our Toronto vacation and I had to write a review.
It is about 30 minutes away from Downtown by car. There is no real shopping center or restaurants around here so if you need something you may have to drive a bit. There is a Hampton Inn next door and the hotels share a parking space so the front spaces are always gone by early evening but there is more parking in the rear of the Hampton Inn.
Check in was painless. We drove from NYC to Toronto and arrived late. Check-​in was a breeze, less than 5 minutes, which helps when you have spent 10hrs in a car and just want to lay down.
Our room was clean and spacious. It has a small dining table for two and a nice kitchen with dishwasher. The bed is the most comfortable one I have encountered outside of my home bed. The pillows are better than my pillows! The photos from their website are spot on. Some hotels try to deceive you with the pictures being better than the real thing, but not this Homewood Suites.
The staff is delightful. Everyone from receiption, house cleaning, the ladies that host the morning breakfast, and the crew of the evening dinners are friendly, helpful, and always smiling. I went to get breakfast at 6am one morning and the lady was so cheerful! She handed me a to-​go container when I told her I was leaving in a few minutes and needed to eat my breakfast fast.
The house cleaning crew is great. One morning I was in a rush and did not wash a few dishes and when I arrived later that evening, the dishwasher was loaded with clean dishes! The cleaning crew was friendly, chatty and also smiling. I never had to ask for dishwasher soap or plates or anything (read my Vdara review for Las Vegas and you will understand).
The food is your typical breakfast food but they prepare it so well that it all tastes delicious. I can’t really speak about the dinner since I came back late almost everyday and the one day I came early there was only a meat dish. But I can tell you that the cookies are TO DIE FOR. I grabbed a few of them!
The pool and gym are well maintained and enough for a traveler.
Now just two suggestions for the hotel: 1) The washers and dryers in the guest laundry room are confusingly placed. I thought there were two washers and six dryers. Had it not been for a lovely couple from Australia I would have put money in the wrong machine. (Thanks couple!)
2) Your cookies are delicious. How about giving them to the guests upon check-​in?
I want to come back to Toronto just to be able to stay here again. It is that good.

I was in Toronto on business and was told that this was a fantastic hotel; not to mention it was less than half a mile from my companies corporate headquarters.
This place has two hotels that are right next to each other and share the same parking lot. Parking was a premium when I arrived with my co-​workers; so, if you plan on having a car in town, keep in mind parking might be a challenge at this location. After I found the right entrance to my hotel, the check-​in process was done in less than 5 minutes. The front desk staff was very friendly and very informative of the hotel amenities.
Right by the front desk is everything you really need. The business center (free internet access and free use of the copier/​printer), the pool and fitness center and the dining area for complimentary breakfast/​dinner.
My room was right on the ground floor and was quite inviting right when you walk-​in. There was a full service kitchen, seating area, king size bed, LCD TV and your standard bathroom. Everything was clean, neat and in it’s respective places. The bathroom didn’t have a tub, just a shower; so, if you like to take a bath versus a shower, you’ll need to inquiry with the front desk.
I used the fitness center and they have a small assortment of equipment. The treadmill was a little older and sounded like it needed a new belt. They have water and towels within.
Now to the complimentary meals. I didn’t try the dinner since I was going out with my co-​workers, but it looked decent (I did grab a cookie and soda). They were serving meat loaf, vegetables and potatoes the night I was there. The breakfast was decent and included peameal bacon, eggs, potatoes, breads and fresh fruit. I can’t complain since it was included with my stay; not bad if you’re traveling on a budget.
All in all, the next time I’m in Toronto on business, I plan on staying here!
*as a side note, this hotel is located in a mostly business district and there isn’t much retail/​food around*

Absolutely awesome hotel. I can’t say enough about how nice this place is. First off: It’s quiet. One does not want excesive noise filling up hallways when you’re on vacation. Second: the suites are very cozy. You get a small kitchen complete with everything you need to cook (pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc). You have a small living room and small bedroom. They did wonders with the space there. The hotel workers are very helpful and friendly. The bed is extremely comfortable and you will hardly roll over at night. Your body just sinks. The fitness center is small but well set up. The pool is too small and we did not use it. The breakfast has all the usual staples and the food is excellent quality. The coffee is strong enough and the juices are premium. There isn’t much around the hotel except for the world famous «Tim Horton’s» coffee and doughnut shop. There is a strip mall close by as well. The hotel is about 20 – 25 minutes from downtown Toronto and about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 min from Niagra falls. The price during the time we stayed is $ 179 per night, but I used my points and stayed here for free (4 nights). I would absolutely stay here again if returning to Toronto. Parking and breakfast are included with the room rate.

If you factor in price (and you always have to with hotels), this is as good as it gets. Roomy, clean, modern, and great service. Homewood Suites really are the cat’s ass. They rated as 3-​stars, but better than 90% of 4-​star hotels out there.

When we recently visited Toronto, we picked this brand spanking new property (see photos). It is curiously built right next to another Hilton property (a Hampton Inn — but the rate was actually lower at the Homewood Suites — go figure. I suppose the immediate advantage is that the 2 share a pool (and perhaps fitness area?). So if you want to bathe, you have to do it with the crowd of the great unwashed (JUST KIDDING!!! We stay at the Hampton Inn ALL the time.)
When we were there, they were literally still doing some heavy duty building in the backyard, but the hotel itself was fully operational. As a new hotel, it holds some attractive perks. So, no nicks and dents in your room or in the hallway, no worrying about nail clippings they didn’t vacuum up too well or all that gross stuff. No jive, but I got the sense when I wrapped the towel around me that I was the first person using it. And NO CROWDS! Most new properties take time to build up familiarity and a clientele, and this new HS is no exception. Other than an horde of hockey Moms there for a tournament, the place was practically deserted. One thing I noticed right away was how well trained and friendly the staff was. My one peeve was that the «welcome home» reception was devoid of booze. Most HS properties in the U.S., if not all, give you not just a «free meal» that ranges from «meh» to «MY!!», but they all give you draft beer and cheap wine for free. But not this one — perhaps it’s Canadian liquor laws?
Talking about free booze brings up a small gripe against my fellow travelers. Whether it’s in the executive lounge of the Drake Hotel, or at these HS «receptions» where you’re getting a beer buzz for free, so few TIP! Come on peeps. You’re getting something free. Couldn’t you drop a buck or three for the hard-​working worker picking up after your mess? So come on — I KNOW we can do more to make this a better world!
