Hollywood Nails

Stay away from this place… I got the girl with the fake eyelashes who didn’t even greet me. In fact, she wouldn’t even speak she actually would just point as if I am not good enough to speak to. She was so rough she cut me twice and tried to say that was my fault? Awful. no hand massage. not even nice lotion at the end. Horrible service. Plus… it’s says 15 for a full set… then they somehow make it 25. I hated this place. Plus there stuff looked dirty.

Went in for a shellac removal as I live around the corner and thought I’d give it a shot. Place was empty (as it seems to be a lot, wonder why). Four technicians on their iphones or staring ahead vacantly. My two good points up front: It was cheap, and the receptionist was friendly.
My technician alternately ignored me and looked at me with loathing. Not even a curt smile or «hello», or nod towards the chair. She used a dremel to remove the top layer of polish — totally unnecessary for this type of gel, and not good at all for my weak nails. I asked her to pls. just use the acetone (on cotton, wrapped in foil, like everyone else does). She said «Just for now» and kept doing it. No cotton, no foil. She also scraped the polish off way too hard in places, so clearly my nails needed to soak longer. When she started to shape my nails at the end, I declined. I just could not wait to get out of there, the vibe was so uncomfortable. She sent me to the sink so I could wash my hands and she could go back to laughing at me with her colleague in peace.
If you like to hang out in a tense room with unhappy people while someone hacks away at your nail bed, you’ll love it. Personally, I would rather spend a bit more and go somewhere better.

Trying to find a new nail salon after my previous one closed down a friend and I decided to try it. She always gets a manicure and with a %10 discount how can you not atleast try it?
We should have kept walking.
I have UV Gel’s but due to work I had no time to fill them in and waited too long so I needed a new set I made a reservation with the woman at the front desk and informed her of this. She said that would be no problem and because it was my first time there no additional cost! Which was amazing.
So we arrive there the next day at our reservation time, they seemed very friendly and ready to go but when i reminded the woman that I wanted a new set she rolled her eyes and me and lectured me about not getting it done sooner. Which is rude, this is her job.
She roughly took them off cutting me a couple times, so when I asked her to be alittle gentler she laughed and called me a «cry baby.» to the other person working there and they both shared a good laugh. Outrageous! I almost got up and left but with my nails looking the way they did I decided to just endure it.
So after completing taking off the last nails she asks me which type of nail I wanted. Although at this point i have asked for UV gel 3 times. Once when I made the reservation, twice when i first got there and now three times as we are in the middle of the process. Is it not important to them to remember what the customer wants?
When i said I wanted UV Gel she asked why, and not knowing the difference between the different styles i said because I liked this one. She then started to lecture me again because I did not know the difference and how UV is really bad for your nails… blah blah blah and then shared in another laugh with her fellow employee. This being the second time they have both laughed at my expense.
So she put BIO Gel on my hands. even though I tell her that I kept reminding her that I wanted UV.
When they are finished they look amazing, so the quality of work is perfect although the customer service is appalling.
Now finding out that BIO gel is $ 10 than the UV, plus she taxes on more for taking them off, the different type of polish and the additional line she painted on. Its $ 25 more than I was planning on spending.
I will never be back again.

Nursing the ailments of a late night out with some complimentary Starbucks (pays to have a wo-​man on the inside!) my friends and I began discussing the hideous condition of our feet and making plans to remedy. All it took was a glance up from our lattes, and we saw it: the Hollywood Nails sign; the $ 35 Mani-​Pedi sign; the 10% all services sign. DING DING DING DING.
We went in and requested an appointment so all three of us could get our services done at the same time; we returned at the time of our appointment to see that all chairs were full, and they took us in one at a time. So much for the appointment, but there was some overlap and the three of us got to sit next to eachother in uncomfortable massage chairs reading awful magazines.
My pedicurist was clearly not having a good day, and spent a while hiding in the back before she finally came out to seat me. She worked quietly, breaking the silence only once to roll her eyes skyward and let out a huge sigh –hey, lady, my feet aren’t THAT bad! She also argued with me about my thumbnail, refusing to cut it how wanted it. I have to give her credit though – she literally CREATED a pinky toe nail for me!
Her mood improved drastically when she sliced me and I told her not to worry about it … she even lied to me with great enthusiasm that I had great nail beds!
My toes looked excellent and are actually still in tact a month later. Great price, and I now have TEN toe nails instead of eight! What a deal, I’ll be back.

I’ve gone here a handful of times for pedi’s. I dislike all the other nail places on Roncey and this one is close to home and does a good job so I keep going back.
They are quick, friendly and you get what you ask for. I’ve never had a bad pedicure experience here. In fact, I still have an almost perfect pedicure after two weeks and I’ve been camping and to a concert with my feet in sand at Echo Beach. Still holding up.
$ 22 for a pedi, I’m cool with that.

Quick, cheap and friendly but the compliments stop there! A simple eyebrow cleanup became a butchered nightmare.
When I left my eyebrows were left thin and shapeless with bald spots. When done the girl practically poured a bottle of baby oil on my face and sent me on my way.
Thank god these puppies grow out fast… Next time I’ll know to skip this place.

Doesn’t look great inside and out. But they do good work. My pedicure was very well done. A friend gets threading here and loves it. I got my eyebrows waxed and they are good at keeping the shape.
