As a family, we are wowed by the amazing staffs at breakfast! Special shoutout to Wei & Hubert! It’s what amazing customer service and hospitality is like! They were so helpful and attentive and generous, we were left dumbfounded! Especially compared to some other Hilton staffs we’ve came across.
Have to say the pool isn’t as family friendly as we would have preferred. After a long day out. We just wanted to play and relax by the pool. But it was small, overcrowded and too deep for kids.
Other than that, it’s close to lots of shops around and it’s convenient:)
Overall we would recommend this place to friends.

We had a really good time at this HGI. Close to just about everything and great service. I will stay here again the next time we cross over the boarder Great service, great rooms and a very good location in a big little city.

I stayed here Feb 7^th-​11^th for a business trip. The room was clean and very comfortable, especially the bed. The front desk staff was very helpful and welcoming.
I arrived Sunday, and was disappointed to find the kitchen had closed that night and no room service was available. When I ate at the hotel restaurant the next day for breakfast, the staff forgot about me and I had to wait 20 min for my check, and was also charged the wrong amount.
I could also hear every movement the person in the room next to me was making. It wasn’t horrible, but I would probably not stay here again if it was not so conveniently located near the office I worked at. The location is what makes it worth it.

It was only for a night, and we were lucky to score this hotel through Hotwire on a great deal. Hilton Garden Inn is right at the heart of the Entertainment district. It is walking distance to Chinatown, Kensington market, and hundreds of restaurants. The staff were friendly and the rooms were cozy and clean.

Terrible experience. Save your money and go somewhere else unless you don’t mind your belongings being stolen!! To begin with check in was a nightmare, they could not find my name on the reservation anywhere, finally after multiple phone calls to my boss the front desk found my reservation under the same confirm # and last name I had been giving them. Then after check in I got to the room which pretty average and not super clean I ventured off for dinner with colleagues when I came back I asked for an extra blanket which was given to me, and was asked what room number I was staying in And my id I couldn’t remember the room number but the location of the room I could my id for some reason didn’t match the name on the room so I was not aloud to proceed to MY room, this is at midnight people after a long work day I was ready to go to bed. Finally my co workers/​roomies arrived and I was aloud up to my room. Then I checked out and got a crazy valet parking bill once I got home I realized I left some clothing in the closet I called the hotel and was told nothing was there. So either housekeeping stole my clothes or they didn’t do a good job cleaning (no surprise) and the next guest stole my clothes.

Where to start? I was at the hotel for 4 weeks, including 2 weekends… so I think that I have a fairly good idea of the hotel.
I hate leaving 1 star reviews simply because that means that there has been a terrible experience and rarely leave one.
First off I do want to say the good things about the hotel because there are a couple. The rooms were clean. I had no complaints in that regard and the housekeepers cleaned up my room beautifully each day. Oh, and the cookies, they had cookies most days when I came in from work… most of the time they were oatmeal with cranberries but sometimes they had chocolate chip ones too. mmmm
Now…
1) Tryst. The nightclub that is literally right beside the hotel. It is open Thursday through Sunday and is the loudest most obnoxious club ever. I could not believe that they did not have noise restrictions… it was from about 10 pm until after 2 am, my entire room had incredibly loud bass bumping through it… and one room, the windows even rattled because of the intensity of the music. The first week, I was on the 10^th floor. It was bad. I moved to the 16^th floor thinking that would be better. It was worse. I think it was because I was right above the club. I called down to the front desk both nights. The first time I called, they made it seem that this was a new problem… no, it has been occurring since at least 2009 (based on previous Unilocal reviews). The second week I called, the front desk person was quite rude and just told me he could give me earplugs… Well that doesn’t work for bass… Finally I was moved to the 17^th floor. I was on the opposite side of the club and at last, no noise. So, if you would like some sleep on the weekends here, request the 17^th floor and make sure it is not on the inside of the club side.
2) Valets. The valet service here is $ 47 per day, which I believe is pretty expensive. Oh well though. They tell you to call for your car 30 min in advance. Try 45 or more some days. Again, I stayed here for 4 weeks, so after a while, all the valets knew me and knew what time I would be leaving, but during the first two weeks, a few of the valets were quite rude and would block our car in even though I was outside waiting for it. They did get better though, so I can’t complain as much about that.
3. Front desk staff. There are a few people who are great, but there are at least as many of front desk people who are incompetent/​rude. I checked in one evening at 1am, (after having already been at the hotel for 2 weeks) and had already selected my room and ‘checked-​in’ via the hilton app. I knew what room I had selected, as I had picked it based on point 1 above. When I got there, I immediately had my credit card and id out and ready and informed him that I had already checked in online. Slow as molasses. He kept looking for my reservation online, but as I had said to him twice, I had already checked in. Finally he looked in the «pre-​check-​in’ area and found me. He scratched out the room number and told me that I would be on the 10^th floor… not the 16^th like I had requested. I asked him why this was the case, and he told me that sometimes there are electrical problems that they cannot give me the room I had requested. ooook, I carry my bag up to the 10^th floor and try both room keys, neither of which work. I head back down to front desk. It’s 1:30 and I am pissed. I tell him the key didn’t work, he finishes checking in another person, and finally gets back to me. He gives me a second set of keys. I ask him if they will definitely work, he says yes. ooook, back upstairs I go, try both room keys, neither of which work. I am livid. I call down to the front desk. They say they will send security up immediately. I walk back to the hotel room and sit outside the door. All of a sudden, a man opens the door I have been trying to get into. He is clearly woken from sleep and thoroughly confused. What in God’s name? I apologize profusely and head back down time #3. I explain what happened, and they just have no idea what they are doing. They finally decide that the room that I selected initially online, is the room I should get… I guess that magical electrician fairy came sometime in that last half hour. Finally. I get into my room and into bed. I got a breakfast coupon… that was all.
4. Breakfast. As far as hotel breakfasts go, this one isn’t that amazing. If you get it for free, it is fine. But if you are not a diamond member, it is $ 20per person for a breakfast that is ok. You can get a much better breakfast for cheaper from a restaurant right down the street. Again, if it is complimentary, I have no complaints, but I would be ticked if I had spent the $ 20 for breakfast.

Great location very friendly and courteous staff. The rooms were very spacious clean and well appointed. I found the beds were a little on the hard side and the comforters seemed to be made of a weird material. I will definitely stay here again.

Good service I expect from the Hilton brand hotels.
As soon as I checked in, I noticed a loud party going on across the hall and the front desk promptly gave me another room upon my request. It was a Saturday night and I had to be at a business meeting all day on Sunday. I was not complaining about the noise, I just wanted a guaranteed good night’s sleep. The front desk immediately understood my point, and gave me another room. They were going to look into the party room after 11pm since it was a Saturday night, after all. They handled the situation appropriately and professionally.
There was nothing special about my room except for a jacuzzi «in the bedroom» which was a nice touch.
Overall, the hotel gets a decent passing grade for the price paid.

I stayed here the past few days for a business trip. Its about a 10 – 15 minute walk from the convention center (MTCC) and very close to a lot of restaurants, shops and bars. It also is next door to a club. I wish I had known about that before I booked here. Every night was quiet — except for last night. I guess a lot of people book for Friday nights to party and run up and down in the hotel drunk and high. The front desk staff all seemed used to it and the lobby felt like Penn Station after a concert at the Garden.
Other than that, the rooms are spacious (at least the one I booked) I got a king bed room with a jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Microwave, fridge, keurig machine for coffee and all the usual amenities. The gym is small, but I don’t imagine many people come here for that. I wish they did have free breakfast for HHonors, but with so many places nearby that wasn’t too big of an issue. And they have a pantry downstairs where you can pick up select things you might have forgotten or want to snack on. They just bill it to your room. The front desk staff were really helpful and friendly — other than Friday night where they didn’t care. They helped me book a flat rate car to the airport and helped me figure out the time I would need to leave to be there.
All in all, I probably would stay here again. BUT I would definitely check out Friday morning because that hot mess with the club will not be happening again.

THIS IS A HOTEL FROM HELL! NO STARS SHOULD BE AN OPTION!
The service here is disgusting, they treat you like garbage. When we got back in from a night out the front desk made us «re-​check in» and were very snooty about us needing to bring things down from our room for the friends who were not staying with us. Apparently it is maximum two people per room and they charged us more for two extra people staying there, since when is that a rule? Two queen sized rooms and the max occupancy is two? Are you an idiot?
When we came back downstairs the lobby was FULL of people upset with the hotel for many different reasons, there were so many people the Hilton felt the need to call the cops because apparently people complaining is just oh-​so dangerous… well if this is the way they treat their customers, demanding them to pay extra for ridiculous things (first it was only two people, then there was four, then the front desk said okay twenty dollars per extra person, then they said no) the cops might as well make this hotel their new precinct.
Absolutely outraged with the way this hotel operates, pathetic and I recommend you stay as far away as possible.

This is THE hotel to stay at, if you’re planning a night of clubbing or bar hopping with friends and need a place to crash.
My friends and I come here annually, since it is right in the centre of entertainment district and 80% of the popular clubs are within 10 – 15 walking distance from it — even if you’re stumbling back here at 3am, I’m sure you’ll make it.
Remember to check on priceline for prices first! They usually give you a better deal than whatever the hotel offers upfront. Service is quick and friendly most of the time. Once, this man yelled at us through the lobby because he thought we were breaking in and were unregistered, but that was probably because there was an emergency outside at that moment. too bad this hotel is located right beside the ratchet club ‘tryst’.
Rooms are pretty clean and the hotel offers great things like free wifi, pool and gym accommodations. The room has large windows, comfy beds, a fridge, (sometimes) a microwave and a keurig.
One thing they do NOT offer would be free breakfast. which would’ve been great to know before we sat down to eat what we thought was complimentary. My friends and I barely ate anything and before we knew it, we were charged for a ‘full buffet’ meal worth $ 17 each … what?!
Other than that, it’s always a good stay — just make sure you don’t eat breakfast there. there are so many more great places in downtown to catch a good, cheap meal the morning after a rough night.

This Hilton is not different than the others, so it’s nice and has a very good, walkable location. However, my problem with this particular Hilton is twofold; There is no parking whatsoever, so you have to valet for a $ 50. charge per day. The entrance is incredibly small and hard to get in to if there are others waiting as well. Secondly, there is an outdoor club in the alley below the rooms that doesn’t start partying till midnight and it is loud. My room in particular was right on top of these guys and the view was nothing like the pictures. If you can get a room at the Hilton on Richmond St. instead go for it! It’s much better.

This hotel is really great if you are from out of town and doing things around the city. The hotel it self is either newly build or redone. Everything is very up to date a modern. There is nothing too special about the hotel though. It had a small lobby, small pool and dining area. The rooms are a good size. We did not park at the hotel because it was too expensive ($ 40 a day). There is a underground lot a block away that is only $ 5 during the day. If you want to get something to eat there a quite a few restaurants walking distance. On the block the hotel itself is on there is not much but night clubs that are closed during the day. The breakfast staff is very nice but the front desk staff doesn’t seem to know much about the neighborhood besides tourist stuff. This hilton garden inn is exactly what I expected with no surprises.

Stayed here during a family trip to toronto, I booked this hotel after some extensive research and found really good reviews on tripadvisor and
for this hotel. After my stay here I have to say I was disappointed and this hotel did not live up to the good review.
While the location of this hotel is excellent, the service here really let us down. The valet parking was extremely slow, it took them 15 mins to get our car each time and the people were rude. Front desk was very chaotic. My husband is a hilton honors member, every single hilton chain we have been to, they always greeted us when we checked in, but not this hotel. They did not acknowlege that we were hh members and the front desk girl was extremely rude to us. They do not say good morning or anything when you walk past them in the lobby. The wall between rooms were extremely thin, we could hear our neighbor talking the whole time… This place does not live up to the good review on tripadvisor and I will prob stay at another location next time we go to toronto.

Located a few blocks from Queen Street and Chinatown, the Hilton Garden Inn is practical for city dwelling. Parking is nearby but its an outdoor lot 40 $ a night. I strongly recommand to use the public indoor parking on Spadina Avenue (next to the Super 8 hotel). It only cost us a fee of 46 $ for 2 nights. A much better deal. The décor is accesible yet elegant. We had a standard room with all the expected commodities. The bathroom had a multiple shower heads. The staff at the front desk was friendly enough. The only flaw was at the check-​in. The clerk has given us the wrong room that was assigned to someone else! Have we not noted the error, we would have stayed at the expense of someone else.

Comfy place and excellent location to fine dining.
Very very comfy bed sheets and the bed is very comfy. Comes with four pillows, two soft, two medium.
The room is good sized with good lighting and high speed internet for working.
The heater works great. Plenty of towels. Corporate rate is $ 159 per night for January.
Customer service: they treat me like a valued guest. The front desk is attentive and professional.
Bathroom: clean and good lighting; hot water is very good.
Espresso machine works good.
Location: location is great. Our work was in the Financial District, about a 15 minute fast walk. The hotel is located next to choice restaurants in a good area.
Tip: ask to join the Hilton Hotel Honors Club. after you sign up on the fifth night you get a free night. Many perks, check it out. All my team recommends it.
Tip: the exercise room has two high end running machines a high end cable system too plus fancy barbells. Very clean too. The pool, while good sized was only 4 feet deep.
Tip: during the very cold weather, their high speed dsl seemed slow; so if you are using your laptop and pulling down large files, it may be very slow and crash. Solution: log back on in the morning.

I end up here sometimes following late night drinking sessions. Easier to stay in the downtown area and only slightly more expensive then a Cab ride home (damn suburbs).
Check in has always been fairly easy, even at 3 – 4 am & while modestly intoxicated. Staff was friendly on each visit. I just wish they didn’t lock the front doors late at night. I need to wait until someone lets me in, kind of frustrating. Your OK if you have your room key, but that assumes you checked in earlier in the day.
Location is great — close proximity to the best bar in the city. The hotel is perfect if your attending a sporting event in the city (ACC & Rogers Centre), the theatre and /​or the entertainment district in general.
I was always happy with my room. Large bathrooms but shower only (large open showers). Standard rooms are bigger than average and always clean. Large flat screen TV. The beds are very comfortable — just the right level of Firmness. Pillows were just the way I like them, firm as well. Easy to get a good nights sleep.
The rooms include a desk area as well if your in town on business.
I always have a good experiences at various Hilton Garden Inns throughout North America and this location is no exception. Above average room at a good competitive price in the heart of the entertainment district in Toronto.

This Hilton Garden Inn has a very good location, it is right downtown. It is also near China town, so if you are a fan of Asian food, you have many choices there. The parking is a bit stiff — 45 Canadian $ per day. There is a bunch of garages near by, the one across the road will charge $ 35 per day if you negotiate with them. Otherwise, you need to drive a bit further, then you might get some cheaper version. The room is not large, but it has everything a traveller need. Coffee maker, microwave, all the other usual amenities, there is a huge TV. I also like the gym and the tiny swimming pool and the jacuzzi.
The reason I gave it a 3 and not a 4 stars is that I asked for a quiet room, and I was given a room right in front of the ice machine and the drinks machine, so every time someone come to get ice, I can hear all these noises. Otherwise, it is not a bad one.

This is a nice small hotel on Peter Street near King. Very nice location. A few blocks from the financial district, easy walk. The rooms in this hotel are large and spacious. The chairs are ergonomic and super comfortable. The beds have mattresses you can program the softness on.
The breakfast bar is pricey (get a coupon if you can), but its good. they make eggs to order and they are quite tasty.
The dinner restaurant is pretty good, the bar is really nice. Its a nice mix of regulars and hotel guests too, always nice. The menu is just ok, and the food seems a little hit or miss. Its clearly a destination restaurant for some locals, they do groupons and the like, but for seasoned travelers the menu does not excite, and the cost is kind of high.
This hotel does have parking, for a daily fee, and its good. The guys have always been super with my car (I’ve been to this hotel many times).
You can walk for lunch or dinner to any number of places here as well. All different types of food as well, Indian, Burgers, Pubs, Afghan etc.
As a hotel 4 stars, the dinner restaurant would get 3 stars.

Great location if you’re attending an event at the convention center. Not an imposing walk from the St. Andrews subway or even Union. The rooms do not appear to have tubs, just showers. Nothing like soaking in a hot tub of water in a hotel room. The interior of the hotel is just a touch dingy. Not sure what this was before but the Hilton seems to have done a reasonable job de-​dingying it. Just a bit more to go. I like the rooms all have microwaves and small, empty fridges. Given downtown hotel prices you might want to skimp on some meals and the microwave/​mini fridge center makes that possible. Some of the rooms don’t exactly have the most exciting views.
Good location too in the heart of the fashio… errr club… errr theatr… errr entertainment district.
Oddly enough despite this being the, grrr, entertainment district some of the restaurants around this hotel close up before 9 on weekdays. I’m looking at you Dunn’s.
Best thing are the free cookies at the front desk, discretely tucked away from the prying eyes of the desk staff who are busy checking in guests, and easy enough for a typically figure-​ground ambiguous fellow like me to pocket several.
