Henri’s Optical

The owner who works there Mr. Henri cheated me and got lens cut wrong totally ignoring my prescription. After trying the glasses for two days, I went to another optician and got the configuration checked and found this out. I went back to him, he became very agitated and refused to address the situation or apologize until I hinted at reporting him at which he told me that he will get them recut if I get a new prescription from doctor. After two weeks I went to collect the newly cut ones and voila, they have still the same configuration. I am going to report him. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Not really sure of the other reviews that were posted. I totally had a different experience.
Went in there today and ask if he had ‘over the counter’ reading glasses. He went fumbling through a pile of stuff in a box and finally brought two pairs out with no price on them. He had me try them on to see which was a better for me.
After asking him the price he just made up a price which I think is way too much for ordinary reading glasses.
I thanked him and told him I will think about it. I could see his attitude changing. As I was leaving the store he shouted «why don’t you go to the dollar store» in a very angry voice.
Ironically the glasses he showed me did look like they came from a dollar store.
Mr. Henri needs to know the customer cannot be bullied into purchasing something he feels is not a good value.
Products in a store has to have a price on them. You cannot make up a price and expect the customer to accept it. I will contact the proper authority to make sure this is rectified.
Only thing I agreed with Cynthia G. is the store needs to be disinfected and dusted.

The gentleman who works there, Henri, (yes there really is a Henri) is really knowledgeable about his products. His store carries all the latest designs and he knows everything about all of them.
I am sick tired of other stores like this where the staff know nothing about their products, you wont finds that here Henri knows his stuff and he is one heck of a nice guy. I have found my new glasses store both for my frames and my shades. You won’t regret going here.

A friend told me about this little place and thought I would check it out for my new prescription.
Tired of the brand optical places and wanted more from a customer service perspective and certainly got it here. It’s a very small place, however he has some of the latest frames and really goes the extra mile for you.
His prices are outstanding. I bought a pair of PRADA’s and it was half the price of the price I regularly go to on Spadina.
With regards to the lenses, he really was very helpful to spend the time with me and explained the differences and it wasn’t a sales pitch… and he even gave me a discount and a better lens with no additional charge. I will certainly return here for the prescription sunglasses in the summer.
Even though the store and his work was top notch… he really should have someone professionally clean the store — me being a little clean freakish at times, kind of bothered me that is was on the very dusty side !
