Hair Dynamix

I have been living in the beach, but finally decided to give Hair Dynamix a try. It was a wonderful experience. Carm could not have been more welcoming and the customer service outstanding. The coffee is nice touch too! Amy did my hair although she is new to the salon I highly recommend her. She did a wonderful job with my highlights. Trust me I am very picky!
Have been back & would highly recommend!

Way over priced and poor service. My daughter got a hair cut there once. They hardly took anything off, and I had to keep asking to Actually cut more. I paid a lot of money for nothing.
Now we go to the Beauty Supply Store close by and they are fantastic and have much better pricing.

I have been coming to Hair Dynamix for a decade and its literally the best service in the city. I see Matt for both cut and colour and he always delivers.
What i found before i started coming here was that my hairdresser wouldn’t listen to what i wanted and wouldn’t recommend changes for my hair BASED on the type of hair I have. Matt always talks to me about styles that he knows will work with my hair, and steers my away from ideas i have that won’t work. He makes it very comfortable to talk to him about what I want, and he’s incredibly knowledgeable about product.
The ladies at reception are always polite and quick with booking your next appointment. They offer you a beverage (like coffee/​tea/​water/​cappuccino) while you’re waiting.
Joe and Carm run a super friendly, professional salon and I would recommend it to ANYONE looking to get a great haircut!

I have been coming to this salon on and off for 6 years. Despite me being extremely picky with my hair I have always left the salon with an excellent cut from various stylists. The customer service is excellent, I am made to feel comfortable and relaxed. I wouldn’t get my hair done anywhere else in Toronto!

I went to hair dymanix today with a groupon for highlights, cut and style ! The color and cut both turned out okay but nothing special. (Especially considering the regular prices of there services) However there customer service there is TERRIBLE !!! Probably the WORST Customer service i have ever experienced. After my hair was done i went to the cash to pay and was told it was an additional $ 20.00 because the stylest had to use a toner. I dont mind paying addition money for something but i dont think it should be a suprise when you pay. I should have been informed about by the stylist. When i asked the recipionest about it she said she would wave the fee. About an hr later i received a call back from the owner saying that the stylist told her i said «i needed the toner «when i never said ! And then she basically accused me of lying. She then told me «happy grouponing» and hung up on me. What kind of attitude is this especially coming from an owner of a business.
The stylist who did my hair only had 1 appointment booked for the entire day ! They should be thankful for any appointment they get weather its purchaed through groupon or not .
Dont waste your time or money in the place ! Avoid it and it at all costs !

Called Salon the receptionist that answered the phone was extremely rude. She had absolutely no manners at all was nasty over the phone don’t wan to imagine how she is in person. Would definitely not go here due to how I was treated over the phone.

My mom came here for years before I was born, I had my ears pierced here as a child, I had my first hair cut here (all more than 20 years ago now) …I strayed for a few years while growing my hair during my teenage years but after a few hair cuts that almost put me in tears I came back to Hair Dynamix. The people are great, the service is awesome and its worth every last penny! I’m moving to Calgary soon and I’m not sure what I’m going to do with out them or my hair dresser Matt?! :(

At Hair Dynamix, everyone is professional and friendly. You get great customer service. I highly recommend Connie (spa services) and Matt (hair). I appreciate that they keep up-​to-​date with the latest techniques and trends. I always leave feeling pampered and happy with the experience.

Walked in to get my bangs trimmed. The lady at the front desk was really friendly, but the male stylist (didn’t catch his name) wasn’t very friendly at all. After he was done I asked if the bangs looked a little longer on one side and he just trimmed some off one side without even really looking. When I got home and straightened them they were too short on one side and I ended up cutting them myself to even them out. I didn’t feel like he put much effort into what he was doing and I got the impression he wasn’t too happy that he had to cut my bangs. I probably wouldn’t go back. I just didn’t get a good vibe from him.

I have always gone to salons in Yorkville thinking that they’re going to be the best… but Hair Dynamix is by FAR the best salon. Matt is absolutely amazing. He understands EXACTLY what you want and has always always ALWAYS given me exactly what I want. The main reason I keep going back to see Matt is because I always leave HAPPY. I used to go to salon’s and not be quite sure if I like what they’ve done and kind of figure it out on my own and leave with a weird feeling… but he looks, listens and puts his skill to work. I can’t say enough great things about Joe, Carm, and Matt. So happy with HD.

I did go back to Hair Dynamix, and am so glad I did. I was really happy with the work that was done last time, but this time it was even better. I don’t think I’ve ever been so happy with my hair, or had a hair dresser do EXACTLY what I wanted before. (Also, Una is fantastic! Book her if you go!)
Also, the customer service was great. I actually feel awful for feeling a little jaded after the last visit. Saw one of the same girls that greeted me last time, and it was about a million times better. Everyone has a bad day, and maybe I was too quick to judge.
Will definitely be going back again and again and AGAIN!

I’ve been going to Joe, one of the co-​owners of Hair Dynamix for over eight years. The salon has just been renovated and looks and feels terrific (it was great before, but now it is even better). Everyone here is friendly and it’s a happy, welcoming, busy salon.
Joe is a great colourist and he keeps up on trends and techniques, so I always feel current (or even ahead of the crowd) when I leave with my new haircut.
They offer many different services and the product lines they sell are top notch.

I have had my hair cut and coloured here and I give them about a 70/100…meaning about 70% of the time I’m happy with the results.
Nelo is great for a cut, she listens and understands thick, wavy, long hair.
For colour, I wouldn’t waste the money… not the greatest experience from this place.
They do have great hours, they are open till 9pm a couple nights a week.

When I first moved to Toronto last September, I had no idea where to get my hair done. After asking a few friends, I ended up at Hair Dynamix in the Beaches, and I’ve been quite pleased with this choice!
I’ve seen two hair stylists there: Milo and Connie. Both are super nice and friendly, and know their way ’round a head of hair. I’ve been very satisfied with both my cut and colour every time. I was there again just two days ago!
The only downside is, of course, the price. My cut and full colour sets me back $ 110 before tip (and before whatever ridiculous salon products I decide to buy… eep). I definitely hate spending that much on my hair, but when I like the result, it’s hard to think about going anywhere else!
