Victoria the owner is an absolute doll! So friendly and helpful, always ready with a smile and a suggestion, without being pushy.
I cannot say enough about the clothing. I have yet to leave the store empty handed. I have purchased dresses, tops, a super cute bathing suit, and accessories. And I am always complimented on my outfit when it comes from Gussied Up.
I am so happy now that their second location in Vaughan is open, it’s much more convenient for me (but that could be dangerous for my bank account)
The only negative about the Bathurst location, is that its a little tricky finding parking, but if you persevere, its worth it.

I love this store so much! I was in Toronto visiting from out of town and a friend recommended Gussied Up. My partner and I had such a fun time shopping here. If I lived within 1000 miles of the store I would probably never shop anywhere else.
The range of clothing was very impressive for such a small store and everything was gorgeous, stylish and interesting. For reference, I like to sew and I am very picky about prints. Usually I dislike at least 50% of the hideous prints clothing for fat women can be made of… but I think I only found one item in the entire Gussied Up store that I didn’t like.
Lucky for my budget, the carefully curated selection meant that many items were unavailable in my size, since so few pieces were originally stocked. Someone my size had clearly gone on a shopping spree already. Most of the boutique focused on dresses (casual, cocktail, dressy, work), with some tops, skirts and pants, swimsuits and accessories. There were many designers I was unfamiliar with, which was fun for me! Prices for dresses ranged from around 60 – 250 dollars.
The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that I wish there were more options for pear shapes and bootylicious bodies, especially in skirts and pants. There was a lot of space given to Joseph Ribkoff, whose beautiful dresses were too blocky and column-​shaped to work on me.
I appreciate that Gussied Up had a clear point of view and niche, rather than trying to do, and be, everything. Also, there’s a bakery across the street. Yum! Now I wish I lived in Toronto…

Excellent service. A wide variety of fabulous clothing from many designers. I will definitely be dropping in frequently to see what’s new!

I have yet to buy anything yet! But I love the fashion here! It’s hard to find fashionable plus size clothing that’s in and looks good. I worked at Bathurst and bloor and it was always on my way so I would stop in and look around. The owner is very nice, willing to help but no pushy and let’s you browse without feeling like you need rush.
I find it a bit pricy for my wallet, but it is understandable cause its plus size and up to date with the latest fashions. There is a few things I would buy, maybe later when I have the funds!
Great place and would love to actually buy from here!

Gussied Up was recommended to me in a round-​about-​way from Facebook connections. I don’t live in TO, but after visiting the store for the first time this summer, Gussied Up is now an absolute must for every visit into the city.
It’s not often that plus-​size women can find fashion-​forward clothing from a boutique store-​front/​brick-​and-​mortar store. Gussied Up offers the boutique experience with a selection of clothing and accessories that have been carefully curated by owner/​operator Victoria.
The shopping experience at Gussied Up has that sparkly, girly, fun vibe to it… great body-​positive artwork, beautiful lighting and atmosphere, the whole experience defines «pretty». And to speak to the collection of pieces available to choose from, I’m someone who loves interested clothing and leans to the bohemian end of the style spectrum, while my best girl-​friend is more classic-​with-​a-​glam-​twist… and we both have excellent luck finding items that speak to us and our different personalities and styles.
I’ve loved the items I’ve purchased at Gussied Up. They’ve all been quality-​constructed and make me smile every time I put them on. Because it’s a boutique, because the items are special and fashionable, and because of the experience of shopping in a thoughtfully curated store — this isn’t a shopping experience for folks who are looking for «cheap and cheerful» $ 5 tee-​shirts. Everything is affordable (buttery leggings will run abour $ 25, while that special blouse or dress typically runs around the $ 45 – 100 range) but priced to match the quality and specialness of the pieces.
I’ve gotta say — Gussied Up provides the most positive, fun, exciting and flat-​out best shopping experience for stylish women in the 14+ size-​range. I can’t help myself from gushing about the store and about Victoria. Get yourself there, pronto, woman!

I’m not the target market of this friendly looking boutique but I’ve often walked past it and admired the pretty dresses in the window display and was surprised to find that there were no reviews for it on Unilocal.Thus, I decided I’d make a heroic sacrifice for my fellow Unilocalers and go in and check it out.
The owner Victoria was lovely and happy to chat with me and her store itself is well laid out with a pleasant atmosphere. There was a wide range of attractive clothing for sizes 14+ as well as jewelry and other accessories. I should note here that she’s not currently stocking shoes but has pretty much everything else you need to kit yourself out. Also, while I was there I saw at least one happy customer make a number of fine purchases.
Hopefully someone who has actually bought something here will come along and give their more experienced review however I was pretty impressed with Gussied Up — if you are a fuller figured lady I recommend coming in and checking it out!
