Solid spot. They have a nice selection of sandwich options and specialty coffee options. Better for grab and go option since it’s pretty tiny and has limited seating options. The man who runs the shop is polite and will allow you to make adjustments to sandwiches(using baguette instead of bread, etc.). Duely note you have to spend a minimum of five dollars of your paying by credit
GCB is a great place to get your morning coffee! Now I have a choice between The Common and GCB, which is excellent because there is never a line up at GCB. And the Americano I got a couple of days ago? It was excellent. It was piping hot and tasted wonderfully. I appreciated that the milk I was given for my coffee was organic. And only $ 2.25 for the Americano!

Excellent bagels, cheese and coffee. I love that they’re always happy to let me sample cheese while I make up my mind. I once went home with an incredible cheddar that was so dry it melted like shortbread in my mouth. Sadly, far too pricey for me to stop in often.

Passed some time at GCB this morning while waiting for my wife. We’ve purchased bread, cheese and coffee here before and been very happy with the purchases. The cheeses at GCB are more rare, hard to find and unique flavours. I enjoyed both a caf and decaf americano there this morning. Both were excellent.

Finally a place to buy a proper baguette and cheese on Dundas West! Grain=bread, Curd=cheese, Bean=coffee. Nice selection of local and euro cheese with knowledgeable staff. Multigrain loaves, Challah from the Harbord and Fred’s Baguette. You can also pick up a pastry to go with a cup of good, strong espresso drink. Also: Organic milk in bottles, coffee beans and home-made humus and olives. Great brunch and dinner party supplies. I am so glad I don’t have to make an expedition to get the good stuff in my hood! ps: Try the sauvagine(sp) cheese.
