Goodwills should only be attempted by seasoned thrifters who don’t mind throughly sifting through heaps of clothing — disorganized clothing. This location in particular has a few associates running newly labeled merchandise onto displays. What’s wrong with that you may ask? Well, this is likely the biggest reason for the chaotic mess; everyone has their individual method of putting the products away. Active wear in the home wear section. Black jeans in the pants section. Men’s blazers in the female coats /jackets section? And don’t get me started on the shoe section, sheesh! Relative to the other thrift stores that populate our city, Goodwil takes the cake for cheapest. BDG jeans are usually priced from $ 10 — $ 13 at most Value Villages, but start range from $ 6 — $ 8 at Goodwill. Another redeeming factor of this location is the amount of rejected Roots merchandise they receive from a nearby Roots warehouse. $ 10 for thermal leggings and $ 15 for a hoodie, how sweet is that? If you’re keen on grabbing some Roots items of your own, I advise you keep an eye for the rolling racks they bring out from their back stock, and take a look while it’s still hanging there. Once other shoppers catch wind that more Roots items are rolling in, they immediately flock to wherever they’re placed. Compared to the other Goodwill closer to Islington Station, you will have a much better chance of actually finding Roots products in great condition as it has less foot traffic.
