The customer service here is horrible. No one approaches you and they take forever. Staff «too cool» to be helpful. Also the prices here are higher than other places, especially brands direct websites.

Great selection, have always had sizes I need. Prices high and I have never seen a store wide sale, rather only select items. Staff not terribly attentive but it is easy to help yourself with at least the converse sneakers.

There are some good deals from time to time. Good selection in a small space. Always clearance bins outside.

They carry a great selection. This is the place to come if you’re a Frye fan! Their sale staff are horrible though. One is worse than the other. There was a kid who was more casually dressed than I am at home, walking around eating cake and tea. He was incredibly rude. I am just glad I managed to walk out without smacking him across the face.

Hey, I’m just happy that they have Birkenstock (hard) insoles for my boots in stock.
Can’t find these suckers anywhere, least of all at their Queen location (you’d think they’d bloody stock up and have inventory if they keep selling out!!!)
As for the rest, the shoes look great, but I’m on a thrift shop/​consignment thing right now, and shoes are not my jam…

It’s a weird location for a shoe store like this one. It’s on Yonge between York Mills and Lawrence. The selection is fantastic. All the cult shoe brands you might be looking for, and the prices seem reasonable.
They have a good selection of kids shoes too.
There are bins of discounted Converse and Vans outside. It’s not a great system as they get rained and snowed on. Who wants to buy wet, damaged stock? Well I would if they were cheap enough! But at $ 20 a pair, I wouldn’t bother.
Also for staff that works on commission they sure don’t try very hard. I could browse for ages without getting any greeting. Which actually doesn’t bother me at all, I just find it odd.

Get outside is a cross between a exclusive sneaker shop and footlocker. It has many of the staple brands like Vans, Chuck Taylor’s, Clarks, Hunter and Tretorn (yes Tretorn is back!), but it also carries some more exclusive brands — Paul Otvos, Red Wings and Frye Boots.
I get asked this once and a while «Hey Frye (view my last name on the profile page) can you hook me up with some Frye Boots?». No I cant, but I know of a place that sells Frye Boots! Maybe I should get a free pair on my birthday!
You can also order online, which is probably helpful when there isn’t a parking spot in sight at the Yonge St location.
I personally shop at Get outside for Flip Flops every summer. They have Havaianas which have this secret rubber that makes wearing thongs comfortable. They come in at $ 20, and I am set for the entire summer.
Great selection, good prices, and they sell FRYE Boots!

I reviewed Get Outside Shoes the Queen Street location. But I happen to visit the Yonge Street location this past weekend! Sale alert, they have an outdoor, literally a sidewalk sale. Boxes of shoes, organized by size, on sale. You can find chuckies for $ 30! I found the high top version of my chuckies and I was pissed… Why does this always happen to me!?? I’m a good person!
Anyway, this location also has a clearance/​last pair section at the back of the store. Again, if you can find your size, worth checking out!
Only negative thing about this is that there is no immediate parking in the area. Not even street parking in front of the store. You can park at the Loblaws across the street, or there’s street parking a little walk away!
