History
Established in 2015.
Furlough was conceived by, Brent VanderVeen and Frankie Solarik to create a neighbourhood cocktail bar and bistro, where locals can feel free to drop in for dinner or a cocktail. Where BarChef strives to be progressive, Furlough focuses on classics cocktails, beer, wine and seasonally inspired bistro fare.

Business Owner
Brent VanderVeen is the co-owner of Furlough, responsible for the design, development and operation of the restaurant. Brent VanderVeen coordinated the creation of Furlough, including the development and execution of the business plan, hiring of all professional trades, and management of ongoing operations.
Brent VanderVeen is also the co-owner of BarChef and BarChef Cocktail Catering.
