I walked in with my small Chihuahua mix after searching the outside of the building for any signage about dogs, which there is zero. As soon as I entered I was greeted by a very rude older employee who said dogs were not allowed to touch the floor. I asked why and she said that’s just our policy. If you require the assistance of a service animal and would rather not be hassled by old rude employees, avoid this location. There’s a Loblaws grocery store across the street that does allow animals on leash to touch their floors.

I’ve been coming here more frequently as of late. They really do have good prices on most things, but not quite the assortment of the Loblaws across the way. For basic groceries and non-perishables, this is a good place to shop. Please note, the parking lot seems to be the meeting spot for motorcycle clubs, so even though they don’t close until 10pm, I was here the other day and ended up parking by the delivery trucks because the whole lot was filled with motorcycles. People lining up at the check out to pay were complaining about the motorcycles too, because there wasn’t anywhere to park. When coming back here, I’ll try to get here before 8… hopefully there will be a spot to park the car then.

Best grocery store in the beach area. Fresh produce, clean store and friendly staff. No more rude customer service that I accustomed to around this area.

Good deals on select items on my grocery list, these staples will keep me coming back. For example I can buy affordable healthy organic milk for about ten bucks four litres in bags. Not terribly diverse or interesting, but then neither is the place where I buy bulk water and neither is the provincial liquor store. Ontario as hell. I have about 8 regular stores for regular items including small butchers and natural foods. — this is not so bleak it just takes effort planning and a car to get everything(public transit not so much.)

I love FreshCo! I will rarely do a major grocery shop anywhere else. The chain in general seems to bridge the gap between the more expensive and extravagant grocery stores like Loblaws, Longos, Sobeys, etc, and the chaotic, discounted places like No Frills and Food Basics. And it bridges this gap PERFECTLY. I can always find everything I need in FreshCo, at very reasonable prices. The produce is always of a high quality, and the meat and vegetables I’ve bought have always been — you’ve guessed it — FRESH! What greater praise is there for a grocery store?! The staff in this location are generally friendly and helpful, and the store is well –laid out, with everything easy to find thanks to the signposted aisles. This branch is always surprisingly empty, with few lines at the cash registers and never any crowding throughout the store. I’ve never had any issues with post-expiry date goods being on display or have had any experience with inconsistency in available stock — both of which appear to be not-uncommon problems in the more expensive grocery chains of Toronto. The deals listed on their weekly online flyers offer some additional value for money, but be warned — the stock listed on these flyers sell out FAST. Sometimes I lament the lack of a fresh fish/meat corner, but there’s a LobLaws just across the street for those one or two items FreshCo may not carry. All in all, a fantastic chain of supermarkets and this location can be particularly recommended.

This is a great location for me and love all the upgrade(s) to the new FreshCo. The prices are right up my alley! Are the majority of customer service people this unprofessional in Toronto? Pity the cashiers in this grocery store are so self-absorbed, it would be nice to be greeted with a smile coming and going.

Hurrah! Popped into this FreshCo and was so happy the’ve finally upgraded, what used to be, the old Price Chopper at this location. It’s bright and clean inside with the new branding. But what i appreciate the most is 1) availability of the items i need, and 2) price! There were some really great deals going on at this FreshCo. and good selection too. There’s not really too much to elaborate on, after all, it’s a grocery store. But I’ll definitely ride the extra 5 mins to come here for Fresh stuff at good prices. The parking lots is nice and big for you folks that drive. There is also plenty of bike racks as well.
