I’ve only signed up for Unilocal to add a review for this place. Let me give you a bit of a time line. 7:10 Got to restaurant. The place is completely empty other than a table of two. Ordered the ½ priced wings right as we got in. My friend and I had to be somewhere at 8pm. 7:30 No wings 740 No wings 7:50 No wings 7:56 Wing arrive!!! 45 minute to deep fry 24 wings! At that point, one other table came in. Our server did apologize for the amount of time it took. That being said we had to take half of our meal to go. Left the place at 8:10pm and now late for where we were heading. We get to the car… I GOT A TICKET!!! I paid for parking till 8:06pm thinking«there is no way these wings are going to take 45 minutes to arrive. So now I’m stuck with a $ 20 dinner, stone cold wings that I had to leave in my car, and a $ 30 ticket. THAT’S $ 50HALFPRICEWINGS! Worst experience ever.

I actually come here at least twice a month. Not often, but experience has been good up until now. I decided to get the specials, drink and feature meal. I was looking forward to drink a bucket of dos equis in addition to the feature drink of the day. Unfortunately, I guess Megan(bartender) decided to talk to her peers than to come and check on me, whether I enjoyed my meal, and/or offer me another drink. Only when she finished her conversation(and me finishing my food and already dry for over 10 minutes on drink), did she came by and asked if I wanted another drink. I just asked for water, and decided that this night was best to finish there and maybe reconsider coming back when Megan was not on shift. No complaints on the drink special and food special. Service though, was awful tonight.

I went here on my own and it seemed promising, a classic pub, just what I was in the mood for. I ordered a drink but the server forgot about me but was very sweet and apologetic about it because there was a big group not far from me. She gave me a Guinness on her and that was excellent service. The service for the rest of the night was stellar. I ordered the Whisky BBQ burger, it tasted pretty good but I could tell it was just a frozen burger and the fries were frozen too. According to the sign outside: it’s fine pub food. I don’t equate frozen items as «fine» on the planet I live on. Also you should’nt pay $ 12 or so for frozen items. So if you’re there just for beverages, maybe you will have a good experience but the food was average or below average. The two stars is for the decent service not the average quality food.

Nice service, but the restaurant is understaffed and the food was terrible and took forever to arrive.

I have been a long time customer of the fox and the fiddle on St. Clair. Used to eat there almost weekly back in highschool as it was my girl friends favorite pub. Haven’t been there in a few years till this week. Their service was slow as it was about 1in the afternoon and it seemed like we were the only customers. Their menu has changed as have their daily specials both leading to disappointment. Their Wednesday special used to be fajitas and that was my favorite. Sadly, fajitas are no longer their Wednesday special. I started with their calamari appetizer and was greatly disappointed with the overcooked squid. I followed up with their Tex Mex burger. It was actually quite delicious but that’s where it ends… The fries on the side were soggy and oily. Just overall disappointed for what they are compared to what they used to be.

While the food here is pretty good the service is really lacking. A group of us went here for wings and when they arrived there were still some feathers on them. We told the waitress to which she responded that they weren’t feathers they were little hairs that normally come on the wing.. We informed the waitress that chickens don’t have hairs they have feathers. We also told her that trying to convince a customer to eat hair is not the way to go. Have not been back yet.

I’ll start with the fact that we only came for wings. The service was quick enough, we arrived around 11pm and it was dead. The beer was nice and cold but that’s where it ends. I will say that I prefer non breaded wings but they can be good if done right. If you’re going to put ‘Famous,’ on a menu item it should be at least decent. They weren’t. We got the Cajun dry rub and they were too hot to handle for about 5 – 8 minutes, once we were able to bite in to them they were really not good. There was barely any rub and the chicken was WAY over cooked, so much so that the chicken was fused to the bone and extremely rubbery. Such a disappointment.

We used to come all the time as it was crazy kid friendly. Well. No more. Although the staff, room, food and prices have all been good for a big family who like to eat bar foods, on our last visit the level of cleanliness crossed even my personal line of filth. Too grungy even for me now. Hello Fox and Fiddle owner, please vacuum and wash your tables, chairs, banquette and carpets and we’ll be back holding money for those kid nachos and a big pint for mom!

St Clair this far west has a lot of character and the Fox seems to be quite busy on the weekends without being sketchtastic as some of the neighboring places. Decent pints and they had a special on Steam whistle. Haven’t had the food yet but suspect it is kinda meh.

Portion of food is tiny for the price. I ordered two meals. They charge half an oz of extra wing sauce for 1 dollar. The 2 oz Martini I ordered only had about 1 oz in it. the other oz being ice. Service was absolutely terrible. They just didn’t care. Never never going back.

Not a bad spot for a casual evening out. It’s very likely that this place is going to be our new spot to hang out, seeing as we just moved to the area. We came in on a quiet Wednesday night to watch the hockey game and grab some food and drinks. I ordered wings with Four Alarm sauce, which was actually quite spicy. They were almost too spicy to enjoy, had a great habanero flavour and were pretty big. Apparently Monday is half priced wing night, which will be pretty dangerous for me. The Hubster had a spicy chicken sandwich, which he enjoyed greatly. He doesn’t talk about food very often, but he kept saying that the sandwich was very good. Prices were about what you’d expect from a pub chain. The place also has a pay-per-play pool table and a good amount of TV screens dotted throughout. Apparently they have a patio out back, which I’m definitely going to check out once it gets warmer.

I didn’t know that this place was a chain. But i’m glad i stopped in. I absolutely love eating at pubs. This is a place i would definitely go back to. They have lots of typical pub food but then they have things like fajitas and quesadillas. I have to go back for the fajitas. I was craving a burger and fries so thats what i got. It was delicious. The waitress was really friendly and nice. The service was a bit slow but i didn’t mind. I had no where to be. There is also a pool table, a patio and apparently a karaōke night on Thursdays.
