Lovely staff and good quality clothing & lingerie. I’ve found most maternity and nursing wear either be very expensive or very cheap and shoddily made, Evymama’s selection is well chosen and easy to wear.

Really supportive staff on hand. Encouraging and helpful in whatever questions you have about nursing or purchasing accessories/​items.

After a disappointing experience at another bra boutique, I was so grateful for the service I received today at Evymama on the danforth.
The sales associate (Heidi, I think) brought me numerous bras in my size and checked each for fit, offering advice but never coming off as pushy. I was really impressed with the selection they had for busty mamas like myself. It’s rare to find a comfy nursing bra in a large cup size that doesn’t make you feel like a granny but Heidi found me just that. The bras aren’t cheap but anyone bigger than a DD knows these things are always a little more pricey. The experience was quick and painless, and I left with a great new nursing bra. I will definitely go back for more when the budget permits.

This store specializes in maternity and nursing wear. They host nursing info sessions, and I’m sure they are very supportive. However, my experience was a little bewildering. I stopped in when I was about to pop out my twins to get my first nursing bra. I was in the ‘hood and had read about this place.
One would assume they have a lot of nursing bras. Not so.
I’m a Medium in the brands that come in S-​M-​L. Sounds like that might be the most common size. They had one bra that fit me. One, in the whole store. They kept saying we’ll be getting more in– in a few weeks. Well, that’s gonna be too late, and I won’t be in the neighborhood again then. So, I did buy a tank top, because if the babies arrived early, I wanted to be prepared. But, seriously, they should have a bigger stock.
Luckily, I have friends who provided the bulk of my maternity clothes, so I didn’t need to buy much, and I didn’t browse their selection. But, do consider nursing in your maternity clothes. I’m back down to pre-​pregnancy size, but I still wear a couple of my maternity tops that work well with nursing. Most maternity clothes are not nursing friendly.

I’ve gone from bra boutique to bra boutique trying to get properly fitted but it wasn’t until I met Heidi at Evymama that anyone really knew how to correctly measure a pregnant mama. I explained what I was hoping to find and how important it was that it be soft… and Heidi came back with several options, helping me fit each so we could find the perfect choice. Because this is my first pregnancy, I don’t know what to expect as I change sizes (and didn’t want to spend the nursery budget on new bras each month) but Heidi explained which bras would be likeliest to last me through the pregnancy — and through nursing too! And she recommended an inexpensive extender to expand the life of the one I bought as well as the ones I already had at home.
I’m one of those shoppers who would rather sort through everything herself, but Heidi was so helpful in the most perfect way that I can’t tell you how grateful I was for her. We had to go through several bras to find one that fit just right and despite all her trips up and down stairs for me, I never felt like I was an inconvenience. She truly wanted to help me.
Maternity and nursing bras are more expensive than regular bras — it’s a smaller market and more complex design, so that just makes sense. But now that I am finally comfortable, I’d almost pay double what Evymama charges. It’s so worth it for your posture and the comfort on your skin and to ease pressure against your ribcage.
As for high pressure sales tactics, there are none. I didn’t want to purchase everything that ended up fitting so I made my choices and asked if I could write down the names of the rest, which they sweetly added to my account — so I won’t have to remember when I come back. And I’ll definitely be back! Their maternity and nursing clothes are so great too!
This is a lovely, lovely local store and I hope it gets well-​supported by mamas and mamas-​to-​be. Such a pleasure to be there!

I just had a baby in August and was in the market for some convenient and comfortable (yet stylish) nursing wear. Evymama appears to be the only store (to my knowledge thus far) to carry nursing wear specifically. I visited on a recommendation by a friend, who’s currently expecting.
For those of you who are nursing, you know how annoying button-​down shirts are to undo and do with one hand (so many tasks are done one-​handed these days) when your baby is fussing and hungry or sleepy and you need to put her down ASAP. You may also loathe stretching out your v-​neck top to the max in order to get your boob out. Nursing wear is designed for you to pull your boob out quickly and discreetly so that you and baby can nurse comfortably and with as little hassle as possible. Well, imagine how excited I was to hear that there was a store that carried a whole selection of nursing wear!
Like the previous poster, I initially balked at the prices as well. Sifting through the rack of new arrivals, I couldn’t help think that I should just buy some tops from Value Village and slice them in the middle for a similar effect, but much less the cost! Being a boutique, you don’t feel like you’re saving even at these sale prices. I ended up only buying items marked down on sale, and walked away with four items for about $ 150. Ouch. But I will tell you this: It’s been one week with my new nursing wear and I can’t believe I’ve gone so long without it! And I also can’t believe how few companies have honed in on this market. What a missed opportunity! Which translates, of course, to higher prices for the consumer.
As for the customer service: top notch! The service was attentive, patient, not pushy at all. They offer you water (nice touch) and are ready and willing to pull out any extra sizes/​colours/​styles from the back/​downstairs. At the end of my fitting session, I had actually ended up with about 8 items. I knew I couldn’t afford it all, so the sales rep offered to calculate the total so that I could adjust what I wanted to keep and didn’t want to keep according to my budget. You’d be hard pressed to find another store that would allow you to do that, especially when they have other customers milling about. Even so, I didn’t feel neglected when they were helping other customers. Each customer received an equal amount of attentiveness.
A couple of last points to add: there’s a bathroom available! Amazing for everyone involved. And for the nursing moms: there’s a well-​lit area in the back of the store with a change table and a couple of comfy seats where you’re welcome to stay and nurse as long as necessary. They’ve thought that out very well. I ended up staying for nearly an hour after I was done shopping to nurse my baby without feeling embarrassed or an inconvenience. The sales rep even came by a couple of times to see if I needed more water and if I wanted to have the air conditioning turned down. I’m writing this in the summer, of course, but imagine how nice it would be not to have to worry about a warm shelter to nurse your baby in during the winter months?
All said, I will definitely be returning for the items I left behind :)

Went in recently with a pregnant friend.
Lovely selection of classic styles.
This place is considered a «boutique». Prices were high, esp. given that the clothes will be needed for 5 months or less (judging by the time that one shows the bump, until delivery time). Even the sale prices were high.
There were two sales attendants there. Both seemed helpful, but if my friend were any less strong-​willed, she would have left the boutique $$$ of dollars shorter. Especially one of the two salespeople, had definite sales tactics.
Example: she would bring in a multitude of items for my friend to try on, it was almost overwhelming. Some proved to be good choices, but in the end the items that appealed most to her, were the ones that _​she_​chose to try on.
Also, some items were brought out, and my friend were told that these were staples, that ‘everyone should have’. And it was repeatedly asked, in a presumptuous way, «So would you like me to call and have the item transferred over now?» (from the other store).
It seemed so easy for them to push items onto my friend, especially since it’s not their money but hers.
Their main redeeming qualities were that they a) specialize in maternity stores, and Toronto frankly does not have enough mat stores;
b) their Noppie Dutch-​designed items (as well as their Jules & Jim brand) seem to be of consistently good value.
Ferghettaboutit:
-$ 270 designer Mat jeans? Why bother when you can easily go to Eaton’s Centre’s Old Navy for some under $ 50 goods.
End verdict: If you’ve got the $$ to blow, or if you’re having a really hard time fitting properly into Mat clothing, consider this place (a short walk east from Broadview stn). Good Mat business clothing section, which other stores don’t have much of. As mentioned, Noppie and Jules & Jim offer consistently good quality items.
Otherwise, if you can fit into what the Mat clothes from the modest H & M, Old Navy, or Zara depts offer, you can save your $$$ and use it on better pursuits.
If you go there, unless you can say no to pressure, go with a friend, so that certain people don’t push you into any purchases that would be difficult to return (they only do exchanges on unworn items w/​tags, within a paltry 10 days).
