Amazing salon!!! Ive been trying out different salons for years but I think I’ve found my regular stylist! I was booked with Irina and she was fantastic! She listened to exactly what I wanted and really delivered. The scalp massage was awesome and the products she used in my hair really made such a difference. She was extremely friendly and not intimidating at all (like some hair stylists can be). Overall my experience was such a joy! They even offered tea/​coffee at the beginning and again after the massage. They even brought around some popcorn for me! I’m so pleased with my time at evoke and believe me I’ll be going back as soon as I can!

I’ve been here a few times for a cut so I decided to try a colour this time. I normally see Shawnn for cuts but he sadly was booked during the only time I could make it in. I ended up getting my colour from Alicia and a cut from Shannon. I was so nervous as I wanted balayage which is new to me and very different, but they absolutely nailed it. I showed them a picture from Pinterest and they both recreated it perfectly! I love this place.

Epic! Love this Salon. The Serve drinks and popcorn and do What ever Style U want. If you have Kids they can get their hair done 2. You Hair Will look amazing in the End. The Salon is Above the Tim Horton’s.You have to Find the Entrance for Tim Horton’s and on the Right is the door too evoke. Very Clean.The Stylists and Very Friendly and Are very Calm With Your Hair. I have to review my experience at this Evoke location ! I’ve been there three times already to get my hair coloured by three different stylists and I loved it each time.
I especially want to thank my most recent balayage colourist Andrea who stayed with me until 10 pm to give me the perfect colour and blow dry my hair.
My hair is naturally thick, wavy and dark brown– very hard to work with, but after five hours of hard work, she turned it into a nice ombré/​balayage look that starts as a dark brown (my natural) and then blends into a natural sandy blonde, which then blends to beautiful bleach blonde ends.
I will probably never change this salon location, even if I no longer live in the area, only because I trust that my hair will always look amazing, no matter who I get as my hairstylist /​colourist next.
Thanks again Andrea, I love my new look!!!

Worth a drive from anywhere in the city/​GTA. These young professionals know how to inspire through their hospitality, friendliness and creative edge.

I LOVE Evoke salon. The service is super friendly, cut and colour always fabulous! The location evacuates chemical smells very well. I have asthma and can’t be in places that don’t ventilate well… I’ve always been fine (no exacerbated breathing problems from visiting Evoke). Jason and his team are wonderful!!!

Thought I’d write a review since I had such a great experience (I don’t think I’ve ever written a Unilocal review before??)! I came in for a cut just last night from Shawnn and left with something really lovely. I have mid-​length hair and I want to keep it that way but fill it out… but due to a lot of damage we decided to cut it short (Shawnn’s advice) in order for it to grow. I also got a consultation with Dee on colour who was equally lovely and I’ll be back in a couple months for another trim and some colour added — thank you both!

I’ve been to many different salons and at the end of the day it’s either you’re great at what you do, or you just don’t get it.
I booked an appointment with Daniel due to his reputation and I was absolutely blown away!
Upon arrival I was offered a variety of drinks while I waited to start. Daniel then took me to his station and did a consultation to understand what I was looking for. He then gave me a scalp massage and washed my hair.
He then cut my hair and gave me exactly what I asked for. All my dead ends are gone and I have lots of layers :) this is the first hairdresser I’ve ever been 100% satisfied with and I’ll definitely be going back again.
He was friendly, funny and an absolute gem. Thank you very much for all of your help and I can’t wait to come back!
Side note — receptionists are dolls. Beautiful inside and out and super helpful. Thank you for the Hersey kisses!

Daniel is awesome! Very considerate and chill if you’re on the quiet/​shy side. Listened and explained what he was doing step by step. Felt like I was in good hands and he fixed the aftermath of my last terrible haircut with ease.

Went in for an early morning hair cut and was impressed by the level of service they provide their customers with. I immediately got my coat taken then got sat down with a drink of my choice and was greeted shortly after by my stylist Shawnn. We had a quick chat about how I wanted my hair to look and in the end even tho it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for I loved it! The price was reasonable for the service (over a one hour session) and the quality of the cut. I would recommend using their coupon for $ 20 off your first hair cut (can be found on their site) if your wanting to try this place out.

I was referred to Evoke Salon from my friend and also did some research myself. The salon had great reviews and one of the stylists named Daniel had great reviews. I decided to book a wash, cut and style with him as the previous reviews stated he listens — which I am always afraid the stylist doesn’t do! The process and experience was amazing. All the staff members treated you well. Daniel himself, was awesome! Friendly guy and even better, awesome stylist! He listened and added his opinion which I appreciated. I was very pleased with the cut and style! Would definitely recommend him and the salon itself to anyone. It is on the pricier side, but if you are looking to spend and splurge at least a few times a year, Evoke is the salon to go too :)

I’ve recently moved out of Scarborough and needed a new place to do my color. I was looking up reviews and found this place. I went in to a very cool industrial type of looking space. The girls at the front desk were extremely nice and sat me down. They gave me a wine glass with my own cannister of water, which I thought was a nice touch. Chris was taking care of me and was such a pleasure to work with. He was easy to talk to and very informative of other services Evoke has to offer. He also gave me a nice shoulder and head massage. My color looked very nice and it didn’t have that high smell that a lot of other salons do. My blow out was just ok though but i know a lot of these salons in my new area don’t even offer a complimentary blow dry so i like that Evoke does. Your first visit is 20 dollars off, just be sure to remind them. I will be coming back to do my color here again!

I came in for a full head of highlights after my last colour job was sort of a fail.
Dee was my colourist and she did an AMAZING job
The highlights (really baby lights) look amazing and blend so nicely. She did a lot of foils with very thin strands and sections so the colour blends beautifully! It took 2 hours just for the foils but it was worth it. Dasha did my wash and blow dry and I was very happy with both. The price is really not TOO crazy when you think about some downtown salons and the quality of their work (at Evoke) was top notch
Plus they have an expansive drink menu and brought fresh popcorn for everyone getting their hair done which was super nice
I’ll definitely be back!

You walk out of this salon feeling like you’re the 6God — and you better be feeling that way considering the premium price you pay. You get bottomless complimentary beverages (that you can select from a beverage menu, dang) as well as hershey kisses. The chocolate keeps coming if you finish them, so you if need practice exercising self-​control, this is the perfect situation.
I called to make my appointment and described my type of hair to the lady who answered the phone. I’m Asian but have thick wavy hair and wanted someone who had experience cutting this type of hair — she recommended Daniel for my cut and he was amazing. I brought him some pictures and told him how short I wanted to go, and he was very considerate of my type of hair and told me that I should be going for something a little bit longer to prevent the ugly poof. I asked about products that would be good for my hair and he recommended products that he’s used before that would also be suitable for my type of hair. He definitely wasn’t pushy with the sales which was appreciated.
During the same visit, I had Andreea for my colour. I came in wanting to get a partial or full highlight but she recommended an ombré. I was a little hesitant about the blunt contrasting but she went to show me photos of an ombré job (that she described as a «new ombré») on a previous client and I was instantly sold. The only thing that was preventing me from really going for it was the price — I had a budget and I knew the ombré would blow through it. In hindsight, I probably should’ve told her, but I didn’t … and the reason why I went with it is because she was so confident in telling me that it was gonna be beautiful (and the photos she showed don’t lie). The colour, I pretty much left to her as well because she had a vision and I trusted her because she was super knowledgeable — I was kinda scared because I had no idea how it was gonna look like and how much it would cost. It ended up exceeding my ideal price but was still workable (but for anyone with a strict budget, I would not suggest keeping quiet like what I did).
I had another lady (Alessia?) end off my 4 hour afternoon with a blow out and iron job, I asked for beachy waves and she really took her time. It was seriously the best blow out I’ve ever had and I was feeling like Queen Bey when I left the salon (Feelin’ myself, anyone?)

I booked an appointment with Evoke without specifying a stylist. Came into the salon with sample images on my phone to show Nicola, who ended up doing ombré on my hair. I didn’t have a high expectation to be honest, it’s just that it takes a lot for me to be impressed… lol. After my hair was colored it was cut by Paula, she had really awesome mermaid-​color hair herself and both ladies were very professional, kind and full of knowledge. Really listened!
I couldn’t believe how well it had turned out… I can honestly say that it’s the best hair cut and color experience I have ever had! and I had tried quite a few of them from the very high end Suki’s in Vancouver, to the Korean cutting places that are hole in the wall. It’s was just never that impressive, no matter how good other reviewers said they were.
Both services including tips came to about $ 300! It’s probably the most I have ever spent on hair in a long time since I haven’t dyed it in over 15 years. But now I can’t stop looking and loving it! Seriously… I’m forever devoted to Nicola and Paula, best $ 300 I have ever spent.

Did you ever have a hairstylist that listens to your wishes and then implements them to look good on you?
Me neither.
Until Shawnn at Evoke.
He will not say much, he will ask important questions, and then he will work on the equation:
your preferences + your face shape + your daily routine + your hair density/​quality = perfect hairstyle
Don’t expect to chitchat about your kid, dog, significant other — he will concentrate just on his master equation.
You can observe always busy cool salon and drink your free drink instead, while you are in a blissful state from a complementary neck and shoulders massage .
I always leave happy with my hairstyle and the service I received. And stay that way after I wash and style my hair on my own.

I got a hair cut yesterday from Shawn and I’ve never been so happy with my hair!
I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist and given not only a choice of beverage but little «Info» card for future visits. While I was filling out my card, Shawn came over and introduced himself helped me with my bag to the chair.
I came in unsure of what type of style I wanted my hair in and Shawn was very patient with me and we both decided on the cut.
I was then offered the massage which I was a little hesitant on due to reviews from other Unilocalers but decided to make up my own decision on it and I’m glad I did. Was very relaxing!
Shawn did an amazing job with my haircut, he took his time and made sure it was to my standards before he styled it and I sure wont be going anywhere besides Evoke from now on.
When the cut n style was complete I hadn’t finished my cappuccino yet so Shawn informed me I could in the lounge and relax til I was ready. When I did go up to pay I was shocked they only charge me $ 80! But when I couldn’t be happier the receptionist gave me a little «goodie» bag with coupons for the salon for me and my friends, little samples of different shampoos and things. Very sweet!
I love Evoke, I will do nothing but rave of them. I wish I could give them a 6 Star rating! :D

Wow… if you want your hair to be made love to… well make sure you visit this salon! From the outside it does’t look like much… it looks tiny… but once you go up the stairs it’s like a magical transformation. It’s big and clean and modern. All the staff are extremely friendly and put together… so much put together that I almost felt like I should have gotten my hair did before getting my hair did here. I appreciate that!
Daniel was my stylist and he really listened to what I wanted (a boring haircut. I’m sure he must have yawned!) but he remained professional and gave his opinion on what might be better. Like Civello’s, they give you a scalp massage with oils… and then they essentially massage your head while shampooing/​conditioning it (I never wanted to get out of the chair!)
In the end, he only did a blow dry and it came out so lovely! Usually it’s a blow dry and a flat iron, but since I want my hair to grow a bit I want to eliminate some heat/​damage to my hair. I love love the fact that they never once pushed products on me. I hate that kinda of sale. He was polite, asking questions so I liked that.
Each station is brightly lit with it’s own mirror. The only one thing (and maybe I missed it) but I liked to zone out and read while getting cuts or pedicures so I am always with a magazine. I am not a chair talker at all so you won’t get convo out of me usually but here I didn’t see any magazines.
I will be running back for sure in a few months!

Since I’m new in Toronto, I searched the Internet for recomended hair salons downtown that seemed to be worth the money. The excellent reviews for Evoke salon were verified today. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I had my hair cut and styled by Priya. She’s awesome! My hair is long so I wanted to give it a flair and a shape. Priya did an exceptional and thorough job from the very beginning. She also gave great advise on hair maintenance and style. She is great at doing the wavy hear style by using flat iron.
