Do you know about EnWave cooling? It’s pretty awesome. Basically, there is a system of pipes under Lake Ontario that draw really cold water into a pumping station downtown which uses a heat exchange system to cool air that is then circulated through the subscriber buildings using 75% less electricity than traditional air conditioning. It’s practically free air conditioning! I mean… after the billion dollar infrastructure… :) Anyways, this is a theater. It’s a pretty nice theater too. The good: — It’s small(350 – 400 seats) and every seat has a great view of the stage — The sound is good if you sit in the right place — They have ice cream bars in the lobby — There is a lot of leg room between rows The bad: — If you sit in the front(really any of the double letter rows. even up to FF) the speakers project over you — There are only 350 seats… so often things you want to see are sold out(art of time anyone?) — It is inconveniently located — it’s only on one streetcar line and if you want to take a taxi home they hardly ever drive by so you have to phone one I would definitely go to performances here again. I like venues that have assigned seats and this is one.
