History
Established in 1999.
Initially a wholesaler of pastries to the best hotels and clubs in Toronto.
A few months after being recipient of the top overall Gold Medal at the World Culinary Olympics in 2004, Chef Don opened his visionary Bistro-Patiserie on Harbord. After two years as a favourite destination for weekday lunch and a fabulous weekend brunch the establishment was licensed and started serving exceptional dinners.
Originally known as Dessert Trends Patisserie) the restaurant was renamed in 2008 to DT Bistro-Patisserie (DT = Dessert Trends) to put greater emphasis on the evening dining and late night dinner experience.
Although Dessert Trends (aka DT Bistro) still sells a wide arrange of pastries (over 30 — the largest in North America) DT is finally becoming known for dinner and late night pastries.
