UPDATE: Discovered Doll Face Spa did not renew their lease for the property. Anyone who bought packages from them… Good luck Bought a Groupon for the hydrating dermalogica facials(5 sessions). The facial was supposed to be 45min but the aesthetician will give you 15−25min between laying on the bed and getting out the door. As someone with experience in this field, they skipped out on many steps and the aesthetician seems to be a junior/unfamiliar with the motions. Their«facial» consists of five steps: Starts off with general cleanse(2min), enzyme mask(5min+, depending on if the aesthetician strikes up a conversation with her coworker outside so you get the mask on longer), quick extraction(6 min max), toner(1min), moisturizer(1min) A general facial(hydrating, approx. 45 min wise) should be: Make up removal + general cleanse(2min), enzyme mask(10 min), extractions(10min), tidying eyebrows(can skip but 2min), toning(1min), high frequency(1min), facial massage using heavy moisturizing creams(6 min+), final mask(15 min), sunblock(a few seconds) To top it off, after the 3rd session the aesthetician was suddenly on vacation for months so when she returned she was fully booked. I noticed another reviewer who purchased a Groupon mentioned a similar experience but for another service the spa offered so i wonder if its the norm. I finally put my foot down and contacted Groupon when Doll Face spa did not answer any calls and voice messages, and according to the site, the aesthetician was unavailable until Jan 2017 at best(even listing that you are available anytime, any day). Got my refund and am never coming back. Two stars as aesthetician was lovely and personable. Tl;dr version: — facials are shorter than what they promise, skip steps to save on costs — bookings are nearly impossible –does not return calls or answer them — aesthetician often not available /on vacation — two stars because aesthetician is amazingly friendly and a pleasure to be around

I have been going here for almost the past year, for eyelash extensions and Botox. I always booked with the same girl, you can tell the difference in work when they are finished. I have been to other places not as great and they fell off quicker. You need maintain the extensions which gets tiring. They are always booked so schedule your refills when you are there. I had one bad experience with a newer girl who did lashes, I came in within 2 weeks of my prior appointment to get a refill, she stated that extensions were clumpy and she has to start over as a full set but wouldn’t charge me as full but a refill. The maximum refill limit is usually 21 days by standard, when she said that and asked if I’ve been there before(over 15 times!) I was pretty insulted. As for the Botox, they use the sister product dysport. It achieved the job, but I prefer Botox. The doctor comes in ones a month, very friendly and experienced woman who took her time to look at my my face and did not overwhelm with my telling me I needed more or upsell, very professional! I would recommend her.

There is only one person doing the mani/pedi but you can’t even get a live person to make an initial appointment. When they finally call you back, the one person for mani/pedi is fully booked that you cannot book more than a month in advance so good luck trying to call them back to rebook.

I’ve been attending Doll face Spa for various cosmetic related services for over 4 years. I have been more than satisfied with their services and professionalism. It is concerning to see @fendi O. scrutinize one of my favourite places. Every customer are entitled to customer service reviews and opinions however I would like to rebuttal some of her points. I am Asian who has little to no lashes and Melissa always manage to make my lashes look fabulous and full. Clearly this client @fendi O. was aware she has mascara on her lashes and it is extremely pity and sounds like she is a regular consumer with lashes. Quoted«I had so many bad experiences, so I was really hoping this one would be the one.» She should know the process and procedures to take off her mascara prior to her procedure. It is extremely pity for her to mention this on the review. Secondly, her comment regarding the lashes stuck together could’ve been rectified by a quick phone call to Melissa and she would gladly rectified her concerns. I know this because Melissa has fixed my lashes. I think this @fendi O chick should stop doing lashes in general sounds to me she never have good experiences or she is just a horrific customer to satisfy.

I’ve been getting my lashes done by Melissa at Doll face Spa for over 4 Years .I’ve recommend many friends and colleagues to Melissa. She has always be professional and accommodating .When it comes to doing my lashes, Melissa ALWAYS caters to my wants and needs; l’ve had many over the years. Ladies when you go to see Melissa, don’t be shy to ask for what you want(within reason) long, feather, sexy, thick whatever, she will do your lashes how you want them. I read a tasteless comments from a young woman not to long ago and must say its unfortunately, you feel that way. I’m curious to know if she gave Doll Face the opportunity to rectify the problem. The review reads more like a personal attack towarts Melissa than her dissatisfaction of her lashes . Everyone certainly has a right to their opinion. But when you get any service done, lashes, nails or hair before you leave the establishment ler them know one way or another if you are happy with the service(product). Give them the opportunity to fix it. Just a bit of advice from a business owner. Again ladies. …Give Doll Face a try !! You Will not be disappointed. PS.Make sure your lashes are clean.

I just tried another place for eyelash extensions and now I’m coming back to Doll Face. Doll Face extensions stay in for a good 4 weeks maybe longer. They also make the lashes look dramatic which I like. The spa Is In a very small house so you are always right next to other people which is not at all what I’m used to. In the end the lashes look great and stay on!

Doll Face Spa is a good beauty salon if you are looking for eyelash extension at a reasonable price. I love how you can schedule a last minute appointment via their online booking system and you can even see which technicians are available on what day. There is a bus stop right in front of the salon or if you are driving, there are free parking on site. My experience with my refill was good. Though there was not much privacy as the area is all open up to the reception area and 3 treatment beds are placed close to each other in the same room. My beautician Vanessa was really thorough with the treatment and did a good job. They also offers other service aside from Eyelash extension and you may also find discount deals online from Groupon.

Doll Face Spa was the first location that popped up when I search on google for eyelash extensions. I Googled for more pictures and reviews of this place and was excited to try it out for the first time. I booked an appointment online for last Saturday to get a full 3D set eyelash extensions. I arrived half an early and was lucky to get the service almost right away after filling out a new comer form. The lady asked me few questions regarding what kind of look and curl I’d like for my lashes, and if I had any allergies. At that point, I wish I’ve had brought in few pictures to show her, as the result seemed like we had different understanding of my description. While lying down on my back, she taped down my lower lashes and start gluing on the extensions to my upper eyelashes. The tape was quite uncomfortable and was not what I expected. My prior research to other locations talked about how the service will hold down lower lashes with a lower eye mask and that sounded more reasonable than the tape. I was counting while she glued the extensions on my lashes. It was about 60 pieces each eye. Around 50 – 60 mins later, my extensions were done. She passed me a mirror to take a good look, I pointed out few pieces here and there that’s out of place and she helped me take it out. It was quite dark in there so I wasn’t able to take a better look. Though, I know I wasn’t completely satisfied. I felt I’d be rude to tell her so. So I kept it to myself. The service was($ 89 + tax) $ 100.57 plus tips. Not until I started driving, I got more and more upset at myself not speaking up for the dissatisfaction. I decided to call back Doll Face Spa and asked if it’s possible to go back for a fix-up. The receptionist did not hesitate to agree and started arranging with a time. Multiple back and forth, we booked for an appointment that is free of charge today(one exact week later, Saturday). I plan to speak of all my concerns and my expectations. Eyelash Extensions: From the day of getting the extensions till the 6th day, I felt completely free of irritation. It didn’t feel like there were anything on my lashes, it is almost weightless and is very comfortable to wear. The shape was kept neat for almost 5 days until individual extensions started turning, twisting and pointing different directions. Sometimes, poking on my skin. I wear full makeup, but, without eyeliner and upper eyeshadow everyday(to prevent damaging my extensions), so my skin care routine and process is stilla likely more than average. I don’t know if that affected the life of the extensions. Even though, I still have to say I took care of my extensions very well. I look forward to my appointment today.

Came here with a deluxe spa mani & pedi groupon and i was pretty happy with the service. I had my hands in a warm wax while the lady was doing my pedicure. I wish she spent more on my pedicure and making my feet really smooth because my feet didn’t feel like they got a pedicure. My pedicure started chipping after a couple of days when normally the nail polish on my toe nails stays for a couple weeks. I payed $ 10 extra for a shellac manicure and i loved the pampering when receiving it BUT it hasn’t even been a WEEK and the shellac has started to peel. I love atmosphere and the whole look of the spa. I really wish i could give this place 5 stars because the pampering was awesome. But the overall results did not deserve the extra stars. I will definitely come back and give this place another chance because it is the nicest salon I’ve been to in Toronto. The fact that it is a was a home and converted into a spa gives the whole experience a very«homey» feel.

This was my first time going as I had a mani-pedi. Very nice. My nails looked great but I won’t ever go back for a pedicure. The reason for that is when I got home, to really look at my feet and not just my nails the bottoms were so rough you wouldn’t even have known I just had a pedicure. Even my boyfriend commented that my feet were rough for someone who just had them done. I would try this place for their other services just would not do a pedicure there again

I bought a Groupon for Doll Face Spa a while back for 3 waxes. It was my first ever wax so I was super nervous but really determined to try it out. The lady who did the waxing was very fast and efficient. She could tell that I was apprehensive, so she made sure I was comfortable, and ensured I was alright with the temperature of the wax. She explained everything that was going on, and would ask me if I was alright periodically. She also kept conversation going throughout the wax — which was really appreciated. Professional, knowledgeable, and considerate! I absolutely LOVED the décor though. It’s very modern yet vintage? I love the colour scheme of the spa and the friendly atmosphere. I’m super tempted to try their eyelash services — which I’ve heard are reasonably priced — and the end results look amazing!

I came here during my lunch break and had a 1pm appointment for a mani-pedi. I arrived 10min prior to my appointment, yet i was only served 10min. Later and so my whole appt. was rushed because I had to go back to work. I just didn’t like how I wasn’t serviced instantly, but I do appreciate how quick she did everything. However, after 3 days my nails started to chip and usually when I get a mani they can suffice for a week long. I don’t think I’ll be back here because I wasn’t properly serviced upon arrival. I only came here because it was so close to my workplace and I had purchased a groupon. Also, I’m disappointed with their hours of operations; A mani-pedi are not serviced pass 5pm, which sucks. My usual go-to salon would never keep me waiting and the quality of work is amazing at Planet Nails(Yonge/Eglinton).
