This place has excellent meat and the personalized customer service you look for in a butcher! I lost my wallet at St. Lawrence Market and John went through the effort of reviewing his security footage as well as contributing to my personal losses. I was very touched by his effort. He addressed me by my name and took the time to build a rapport. This is some of the best food at the market. It is fresh, clean and tasty. The short ribs are excellent. I suggest you go here, you won’t be disappointed. by the food or the staff!

One of the few butchers I will go to(Sanagans also comes to mind… and I’m not a hipster) that I can know everything will be quality. I’ve tried every butcher in both markets. Their marinated chicken, flank steak, sausages and ribeyes are all great. They are on the pricier side, but you can tell the difference. If out of your budget, save it for a potluck or special occasion, it’s worth it. Service is not aggressive(no upselling to cowboy cuts), and they remember you if you go more than once.

Best butcher ever. Always willing to go that extra mile and fill special requests. Never had anything but excellent service and meat. Their bacon and ground beef are high quality and reasonably priced, in fact their prices are far lower than you find at Loblaws.

My favourite butcher at the Market. Excellent quality meats and value! I recommend everything, but their stuffed chicken(with ham, sage stuffing, apricots) is fantastic, as is the Mennonite marinated chicken. Nothing but quality here! I do not buy meat from a grocery store anymore, especially not when I have easy access to the great butchers at St Lawrence Market, as well as a couple in my neighbourhood. Once you taste the difference from a butcher, you will not go back to a regular supermarket.
