Diggin The Dog was recommended to me by a friend when my young Irish setter, Annie, required weekly ear cleaning due to chronically infected ears. My veterinarian supplied the ear drops which were no problem for me to apply, but properly cleaning those big, floppy ears was impossible. One 105-​pound woman vs. one 75-​pound unwilling dog… the dog won.
Clearly it was a job for an expert but I didn’t want to drive 45 minutes every week to Annie’s vet to admit defeat. I knew that I could find a local groomer to take on this job, but was hesitant to shop around since I’d had negative experiences with groomers in the past with other dogs. But, on my friend’s recommendation, I called Diggin The Dog and Michelle assured me that Annie’s ears would be no problem. She was right.
Annie has had six or so visits over the past couple of months and her ears are now kept clean and healthy. Michelle and her staff have won my confidence and I’ve since had them clip Annie’s claws and trim the hair around her feet. Both dog and human emerged unscathed and very happy with the results. Next up: a complete bath and trim.
Like many dog owners, I’m easily traumatized when my dog is unhappy. Annie and I have been trauma-​free since we discovered Michelle and her wonderful staff. Highly recommended!

The location and cleanliness of this salon is commendable but the owner is very unpredictable, moody and so unprofessional. Because of this I will not be bringing my two dogs back there.

This is a hard one —
I’ve taken my dog here quite a few times — she is always extremely hesitant to go in, but that doesn’t say much because my dog is always bit anxious when i leave her places, especially to have a wash and cut of all things: p.
I’ve usually dealt with the owner of whom is pretty friendly but the vibe is questionable sometimes — other times its great, so it really is a toss up. I assume it could just be for personal reasons — I prefer to give people the benefit of the doubt… She really is a nice lady.
She always offers free nail clippings, which is great! the first few times i brought her in she had a great wash and a great cut (looked like a whole new pup!) the last few times have not been so great. The cut was not even really cute — it even looked rushed and pretty much chopped.
The most recent time my roomie took her down and had her shaved for the heat streak. now my dog is not the friendliest and can get pretty growl-​ish when frightened and cornered with a razor. so i definitely appreciate the time and care anyone can put in for her. ive seen the owner deal with my dog in a «cesar milan» type of way, which is appreciated as my dog is very anxious at the groomers. my dog was afraid to leave with her and very hesitant to trust her. the owner got down on the floor and took it step by step and gained her trust — it did take some time but it worked! at the end when my roomie went to pick her up she was roaming around happy as a clam but the owner had little scratches all over her arm (which ended up being her claws as she was squirming around to an extreme — being afraid of the razor). After all of that (even though some days their moods may be off) they are good at what they do and i will be going back.
every time my dog has to be coaxed a bit but over all it works. She has even given us a free bottle of shampoo for quick rinses and told us that she likes to let them run around to dry off (as most groomers will put them in a kennel and face a fan on them. which can be pretty stressful)
The one thing i do hate though is the hours. they close at 3pm mon-fri.i work 9 – 5 as most ppl. so i can only go on the weekends and they are always booked up! bummer

I’ve been taking my dogs here for a while in the beginning the service was good but the last couple of times my dog seemed really hesitant to go with the groomer also owner. I got a really bad vibe this morning so I think after today I’ll be looking for
another groomer.

Excellent service and always a friendly smile. Have been taking my dog here for a few years and will continue to do so.
