History

Established in 2000.

Dick Felix Music began as a duo in 2000 performing at a high end restaurant in Toronto and is now performing as a trio, quartet, quintet for corporate events at venues such as the Metro Convention Centre, Royal York Hotel, King Edward Hotel, Carlu, Four Seasons, Auberge du Pommier, Palais Royale, Park Hyatt Hotel and many others. The band also performs for over 200 weddings per year.

Business Owner

Toronto bassist Dick Felix is a member of the Toronto Musicians’ Association and has more than 30 years experience as a professional musician, performing a wide variety of musical styles. Having focused primarily on jazz, working with many world-​renowned musicians, Dick has performed live jazz music at all of Toronto’s top jazz venues

For 18 years, as a member of the Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival’s after hours house band led by pianist Bob Fenton, Dick backed world famous jazz greats such as Roy Hargrove, Wynton Marsalis, Russell Malone, James Carter, Shirley Horn and many others.

Co-​leader of jazz quintet, «Forth Inversion» which has performed many concerts at jazz festivals and jazz clubs, including the Ontario Science Centre, U of T’s Hart House, George’s Jazz Club, Bourbon Street and the Toronto Downtown Jazz Festival.

Dick is currently leading a great Toronto Band performing for weddings and corporate events.
