Business Owner

Michael Donaldson worked on many challenging and high-​profile projects for a series of leading practices in Canada and the U.K. before founding DWA. He believes that design is both an interpretive and a creative process, and seeks to find solutions that are as elegantly unique as they are technically innovative. Michael approaches design with an open mind, an understanding of clients’ concrete needs and a keen awareness of the many cultural, social, spatial and technical concerns that weave through the design process. His attentive, considered and passionate approach adds a positive and disarmingly team-​oriented voice to any project. He has a firm hand in negotiations, knows when to consult specialists, and is fluent in the language of project delivery.
