Nice place to have a fancy night out. It is connected to Four Seasons hotel and the interior really nice. I thought their service is amazing and the drinks are pretty good, although they tend to be a bit pricy(cocktails are about 18 bucks) I’ve tried most of their cocktails and liked them all. My favourites were Winter in Milan and S’mory Night. I haven’t tried their food yet.

Located in the beautiful, modern and sleek Four Season’s Hotel, the D Bar is exactly what you would expect from this high end purveyor of elegant lodging. While it was ludicrously expensive, you get what you pay for, with well poured cocktails, gorgeous bartenders and servers, sublime décor, and lots of eye candy. This is when the expression«no surprises» is perfectly okay.

We came here for a drink before heading to dinner. We were seated but then nobody came by to ask what we wanted to drink/eat. Terrible service for a luxury brand. Finally, I arose from my seat to ask for service. Then, they did not have the particular alcohol I wanted even though it was listed on the menu. We decided to go elsewhere. Bad experience and very unimpressed.

d | bar is located on the lower level of the Four Seasons in Yorkville, right below Café Boulud. Fully enclosed in glass walls, the space reaps all of the benefits of natural lighting. I came here for brunch on a Sunday with my dad before catching a Blue Jays game, and it was the first time for the both of us. We shared the firehouse poutine($ 19), I ordered the lobster roll($ 29), and my dad ordered the cobb salad with gulf shrimp($ 19 + $ 14). My lobster roll was served on a toasted, buttery roll, contained large chunks of meat from both the tail and claws, and was accompanied with some perfectly-seasoned potato chips. This place is definitely not cheap, but ultimately you are paying for the ambience, the exceptionally high level of service, and of course the food! A well-deserved 5 stars.

I love this place its a neighbourhood bar for me and every time I walk in they make me feel like a million bucks like I’m celebrity they treat each customer as someone special and it just makes you want to always stop by and see who will be there that night. Service is excellent and the food is always to my liking too

The venue here is great — at the Four Seasons after all. Great ambiance, great crowd, great menu selection. The drinks were pricey but pretty darn good. I definitely enjoyed my old fashions. I also had the burger which was surprisingly good; probably one of the better burgers in the city!

I love it here because it’s a comfortable ambiance and the food is delicious and the flavours are definitely balanced well. Beef tartare is my favourite dish there. And the blanc sausage. It’s deliciously infused with truffle oil. Although what I do not enjoy is the lack of choices on the menu and can be confusing to people who read it. The servers are a little slower but still better than most service.

A Yorkville bar, but perhaps one of the most comfortable in Toronto. There aren’t many bars like this in Toronto, and it reminds me very much of a bar in Dubai or LA. Attached to a hotel, it’s upscale service, ambient and modern yet comfortable interior, great cocktails, great wine and great space. Whether you’re coming for a night of drinks, a business meeting over coffee and tea, or a great meal above at Café Bouloud, you’ll find your comfort here.

This is #1 on my list of Favourite Restaurants that Sound Like Something You’d Disparagingly Call Your Deadbeat Ex-boyfriend. I love Café Boulud but since they aren’t open for lunch, this is the next best thing(literally, since they’re adjacent inside the Four Seasons and share the Boulud touch). Our server John raved about the fresh gnocchi($ 19⁄29), but he said they weren’t able to accommodate a substitution for the pancetta in it. Sad face. But the meat-eaters at our table who had it were very impressed. There were plenty of pescetarian options, including the lobster salad($ 32) that I ordered, another one of our server’s highly recommended items. I wasn’t blown away but it was good! My friend really enjoyed her lobster roll($ 29), which she scarfed down in about 6 seconds, so maybe I should have gone with that. Beetroot risotto($ 21⁄29) was delicious and perfect as a shared appetizer. Though their butter service — I mean, bread service — is so plentiful and good, you might not get around to the apps. Portions aren’t *large* but they’re just right. Lovely service and a great, bright, comfortable space. BONUS/DOWNSIDE(not sure which): It’s a haven for d-bars. The backwards baseball cap-wearing bro at the next table ordered a $ 18 hot dog and then proclaimed, «It tastes like a hot dog.» Made my day.

This place is really really unmemorable. If I could recall one aspect of my experience here it would be the astronomical price we paid for our drinks. This can be partially explained by its location but even still. The crowd is what you expect and walking in I felt like this could be any generic bar in any generic ‘luxury’ hotel. All in all my time here left much to be desired.

Very cool and casual atmosphere. On the main floor of the Four Seasons hotel and residences, it is a very eclectic modern atmosphere with very good food and attention to detail. A little on the pricey side but is expected being in the heart of Yorkville. Nice space with comfortable seating. I had the burger and it was tasty and well cooked.

We dropped by for some cocktails. I love this bar! the interior is classy but not stuffy. Beautiful ambience. The lighting is on the darker side but everyone gets a candle to look pretty. Live dj, trendy. Stiff drinks but pricey!

This is one of my fave places for drinks because of how incredible they are. They are at the top of my list for some of the best I’ve ever had. Combined with the relaxed atmosphere, this is a great lounge. There is a large patio as well that can be enjoyed during the warm summer months. Great selection of deep house in the background. I ordered the smoked salmon salad last time, and it was meh, so the food could use some work. Everything else is fantastic though, including the service.

I came here with a friend about 2 weeks ago, and I remember perfectly, the flavour of our cocktails. The Girlfriend, is an unusual combination with a spice kick in the start, with a cooling watermelon aftertaste. The surrounding is great, and who doesn’t like a few amazing cocktails after a day of shopping on bloor. I also had the life is beautiful, which was recommended by our server, as he said it tasted like lemon cake. Indeed it tasted better than a lemon cake. The cocktails are a bit pricey, as mentioned in other reviews, but totally worth it. Perfect contrasts of flavour, while detail & presentation is kept in high consideration. Also the olives were yum!

So the name makes me giggle a little bit. Where I went to grad school, there was a super cheap bar in the basement, which was called the Debasement Bar, or D-Bar for short. This is definitely 180 degrees different… upscale without being pretentious. I just came here for drinks on a Wednesday… surprisingly bustling inside. SERVICE was absolutely top-notch. Service that’s attentive without being intrusive, polite without being obsequious, and formal without being stuffy. I was under-dressed for the place, and was made to feel that I was being just as well treated as the celebrity sitting next to us. The COCKTAILS are on the expensive side($ 16-$ 18) but are very well-mixed. Given the fantastic ambiance, service, and free snacks(roasted nuts and olives), I didn’t mind paying the couple buck surcharge over the Toronto median. I particularly enjoyed our two cocktails: **Neo-negroni: swaps out the sweet vermouth for chartreuse and dry vermouth. Very nice modification **Manhattan-royal: A manhattan-variant with brandy and barrel-aged vermouth. Some of the cocktail prices on the website are out of date. The AMBIANCE was pleasant. Nice volume of music gave the place a lively feel, but conversation was easy. Lots of beautiful people. And Christopher Plummer(Captain von Trapp from the Sound of Music) was dining right next to us. I was not one of the rude people that interrupted his dinner. OVERALL, this might be my new«classy date night cocktails» place in Toronto.

Wow Four Seasons — the calibre of staff here is just top notch. My fiancé and I drove up to valet, and no sooner did two men open the car doors for us. Then, I had another gentleman open the hotel door for me, which I was promptly whisked away to DBar. As soon as I entered, there was someone friendly to greet me and seat us all right away. Fluid. Smooth. Service Excellence! I love the atmosphere here — it is not cramped, loud — everyone seems to have their own little space, and yet feel connected. Not sure if I am making any sense, but after a glass of Chablis, I was in cloud 9. There is a lovely, small-ish patio where I will be returning. I really do like the Madeleine’s as nothing compares to freshly baked. My fiancé and I loved it so much we ordered three plates of the stuff! My new fave bar.

Today was my first time dining in Toronto’s new Four Seasons, and I must say I was rather underwhelmed. We arrived around 11 for an early lunch and were brought to our table. The décor is relatively modern, although it is starting to look a bit tired and shabby. Most of the chairs were starting to show quite a bit of wear on the fabric armrests and you could see that there was chipped paint on a number of their cabinets. The servers were pleasant and unobtrusive, but I got the sense that they did not exactly go out of their way to cater to the diners. Spoons were dropped, water refills could have been more frequent, etc. For drinks we just had a coffee and a tea during lunch, and a cappuccino at the end of the meal. Both the coffee and tea arrived with small cookies on the saucer, but the cappuccino did not come with one. It was surprising to me that the green tea came with a biscuit while a cappuccino did not as you would be more likely to expect one with the cappuccino. The cappuccino also took an extremely long time to arrive. The server actually had to go back to check on it because it was so slow to arrive. We were joking that they must be milking their own cows and growing their own beans! I will note that the coffee and tea were both served as pots of coffee and pots of tea, which was appreciated. We ordered two smoked salmon salads and a small lobster salad without the coconut. The lobster salad was a decent portion and came with a small lobster-filled samosa. The flavour of the samosa filling was yummy, but the shell was overcooked and rather greasy. The salad is dressed in a very light vinaigrette and comes with some drops of aioli on the plate. I did not like the aioli and would have preferred the dish without it. There are also whole peppercorns pre-sprinkled over top of the salad, so be cautious if you are sensitive to pepper! The smoked salmon salads were also enjoyed and they came with a bit of caviar sprinkled throughout as well as some large crisps of some sort on top. A lot of frisée is used, so if you don’t like frisée, you may want to avoid this dish. One of my dining companions noted that they thought the salad could use a bit more dressing. The bathrooms are a bit odd. They are located in the basement and are not wheelchair accessible. If you require wheelchair accessible washrooms, you have to take the elevator up a floor. Once inside the washroom, there are individual stalls with floor-to-ceiling doors and walls. The stalls themselves are quite dim, and I expected a light to come on automatically(I thought they might be motion-sensored), but both my dining companions had the same experience(in both the men’s and ladies washrooms). Overall the experience was adequate, but I would not rush back to dbar. There are many other restaurants in the area where you would receive better good and service at the same price point.

FatCat getting lots of attention from lady kittens when FatCat go to dbar. But FatCat have very big skeptical bones in his body… FatCat suspecting that attention chasing after FatCat’s George Clooney-like handsome looks and fresh tailor made suit rather than real substance FatCat carrying around with him inside. Things FatCat like — FatCat surprised when he realize place is not as douchey as FatCat first expect. Many normal people at bar enjoying drinks. Good time. — Hipster DJ spinning some very mellow electronic beats. FatCat feel very mellow. puurrr. Things FatCat not like — To be updated after FatCat do social experiment. SOCIALEXPERIMENT: FatCat have plan… FatCat going back to dbar soon… but this time, instead of looking like Hugh Jackman and paying for 20yo whisky with platinum visa card, FatCat going in looking like travelling hobo and pay for same whisky with pocket full of change he collecting on streets. FatCat have suspicion that FatCat will get more attention from dbar security than he get from the kittens at the bar. FatCat report back when he carry out his social experiment. Stay tuned. FatCat will also try to find out what d in dbar stand for.

I really enjoy what D Bar offers. A sophisticated but laid back atmosphere if you want to meet up with friends for a drink or a little snack. Spacious and have seating option for single, small groups or even some sectional sofas that can comfortably seat a group of 8 – 10 people. On a weekday night, D Bar was not overcrowded but I can imagine how busy it can be on a weekend. The lighting is cozy, the background music is light and the service is attentive. The drinks are reasonable priced when one remembers this is inside Four Seasons Hotel, with cocktails starting from $ 13 and beers at $ 8.50. The Mojoito I have was quite decent, sweetened with lavender syrup and nicely presented. Dessert though a little disappointing. The Hazelnut Gâteau($ 9) and Warm Madeleines($ 9) are both good but not memorable. I will be back to D Bar for a drink or 2 if I am in the area, can’t wait for the outdoor patio to open when it is warm out!
