Don’t get me wrong, I love David’s Tea. Everything there is so cute and their return policy is great which makes it easy to try out new flavours! They have a huge collection of teas ranging from fun fruity to calming herbal. HOWEVER, this particular store is a no go for many reasons. I walked in there hoping to find a nice tea infuser mug from their summer sale, and this one cup caught my eye. It had a lovely light green dandelion design, and what made it especially appealing was its low price of $ 14. But when I walked up to purchase, they told me it was wrongly labeled and the actual price was $ 18. They then suggested that I try a different design for the same price instead of honoring their mistake. They said that there was nothing that they could do, but if they truly valued their customers, they would have found a way. Moreover, as they have made mistakes labeling their products sale % they have also not properly marked their sale items. On the website, the organic silk dragon Jasmine tin was 40% off costing only $ 9. BUT in the store it was marked as full price, and when I asked them about the price, they refused to give me the discount stating that only the tins labeled were on sale. Instead of this store, I recommend the one just a couple blocks down at 2389 yonge street. At that store, they had everything labeled correctly and I happily purchased my Jasmine tea with the discount there. TLDR; This particular store doesn’t value its customers, and wrongly labels their products. If you are looking for a David’s Tea around the area, you should go to the one at 2389 yonge street a few blocks down instead.

I love going in here! I usually smell all the teas, which could get annoying but I’ve never once been hassled about it or pressured to buy something. Mind you, I ALWAYS buy something. The staff is so friendly and always have great recommendations for whatever I’m feeling like that day! Keep it up!

«Buy 50g and get 50g free!» Yeah, they lured me in with that and I bought about 8 different tins. Definitely love my tea. But now having tried it… the teas I got smell AMAZINGGG but almost all of them do not live up to their smell! I have Buddha’s Blend, Pink Flamingo, Cranberry Pear, and Mango Madness, to name a few, many of them fruit-strong. So I’m confused why it’s not more flavourful. Another thing is that the Dundas location allowed me to use the offer multiple times, and I got 4 flavours like that. But at the Bayview Village location, the girl at the counter said it was not allowed, one offer per transaction. I then asked if I bought one now, and came back later, if I could use the offer again. She said no… because«I would know…» with an emphatic, self-righteous«I». Oh, I’m so sorry for offending your moral high ground! All in all, I will probably continue to buy David’s Tea, but only when these offers come around!

I can’t remember how I found out about David’s tea but I’m so totally addicted to them now. These are really tasty teas! I couldn’t be bothered before with loose tea but the flavours are so amazing. They have lots of variety. The teas are categorized by type, e.g. black teas, white tea, green tea, etc. And you can smell the tea & if they have a sample they’ll give you some before you buy. I like this location because although it can get busy, the staff are always nice & friendly. One guy who works there, an Australian dude, is hilarious. We love talking to him. He’s always been quite knowledgeable too when asked questions. Btw, Oprah is now addicted to David’s Tea. LOL. Note that Sundays they have tea tastings now. Yay!

It was a blustery, snowy day when I spotted these guys and stopped in to grab a tea. This store is a little smaller than most of their locations, but they have the full selection of teas and many of the accessories. The staff were really friendly and offered me a sample as soon as I walked in the door. I liked it so much that I grabbed a cup of that blend instead of the Earl’s Garden which I planned on getting. A great experience.
