Great bookstore if you are looking for inspiration and something unique or antique. As with all used/antique bookstores the books are piled to the ceiling and all over the entrance. Although the owner specializes in collections and antiques, there are lots of new copies as well and they are very current on recently published volumes. There are two stories to the store and it’s possible to lose hours in here. They have an extensive section on architecture, fashion, finance and history. The owner is able to talk your ears off about any subject. While there I found a gem of a book — second edition limited reprint of a Bordeaux wine bible first published in 1883. And I also enjoyed a lengthy chat with the owner’s daughter about French gastronomy. Be prepared to chat about your passions here! They also handle framing from Forma Fine Framing( ) which is convenient if you should wish to frame and browse books at the same time. There was a steady stream of patrons who seemed to know the owners quite well. I’m guessing the store is quite an institution of the neighbourhood, and definitely worth your visit!
