This place got its sh! t together over time. Beer selection and drinks are still up there with any small town bar, but the food has come a long way(I’m looking at you steak sandwich) and their patio is now pretty decent.

This place has a right sketchy crowd some days. And it’s a bit drafty in the winter. BUT! It’s the only place I’ve ever found that serves Kronenberg White on tap — my favourite wheat beer by a long stretch. And now that I live in the area I’m sure I’ll be firing back more than a few of those this summer!

This was our starting point tonight and I’m not going to have a whole lot to say apart from our waitress was very nice and the beer(a guiness myself) was delish. I’m surprised I haven’t been here before because it seems my kind of place, but it’s too much of a distance from where I live. My companions ordered a fries, which were good, although slightly soggy. I would head back and try it again if I was in the hood and head time, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go there. Nice place.

Was here today to watch the Italians play Paraguay in the world cup. 1 – 1 tie. Place doesn’t have the best set up for watching the game but if you get their early you can get a comfortable spot. Very small place. I had the burger that was tasty. Fries were even better and seemed freshly cut. Friendly service. The place won’t win any five star ratings and hence why it gets 3 from me.

We stopped into this place as our last stop during a recent night out. This place was completely devoid of any form of entertainment. Not only was there no live band, there was not radio/juke box and the place was super empty so I couldn’t even people watch. I only ordered fries or should I say«curry and chips». This pub clearly has identity issues. On the table top they boast about Ireland’s most popular beer and yet their menu is all over the place with offering of quesidillas and the very British«curry and chips». I was equally confused with what I was tasting once my fries actually came. The fries themselves had potential. They appeared to be hand cut and were a good crispness but they were too over salted not to mention Cajun powdered. The dip was very flavourful. I wanted to take the dip home and make chana Marsala using it. To dip my fries in it though, was an abhorration. I don’t know who to be cross with really; Cornerstone for having such a horrid thing on their menu or those Brits for ever putting the two together!

I don’t spend too much time in little italy, so I can’t comment on whether or not my experience was typical but I was pretty disappointed by this place. Being a saturday(and such a nice night) I expected to have difficulty finding a table on the patio but we were able to find a table pretty quickly. When we first arrived the place was busy and in my opinion cornerstone was understaffed. I only saw two servers for the entire place(and no bartender) so service was pretty slow. And the service we got wasn’t all that great — I started off with a martini and when the server asked if we wanted another round I asked for a beer and was brought another martini(which I drank of course — in the scheme of things if being brought a martini instead of a beer is your only problem you’re doing pretty well.) On friday nights they have a four dollar shot special so we had a round of vodka shots — which were warm and pretty rough. For four dollars i’m not expecting grey goose, but chilled shots are are a necessity! The one high point of the evening was the food though. I had the chicken fingers which were absolutely fantastic. Overall I’d probably pass on this bar. Also, if you’re a taller person watch out — I gave myself a nice bump on my head walking down the stairs to the bathroom.

This is a small Irish-style pub in Little Italy. Nice patio seating about 25 – 30. About 12 beers on tap(for example Irish beers, Mill Street Organic, Kronenbourg White). Service is friendly and laid-back. If you’re in the area on a nice day in the summer its worth dropping to the patio for a beer, particularly on weekdays… After 4pm they have ½ price apps Monday to Thursday and AYCE fish and chips for $ 10 on Fridays. I’ve only ever had the wings, which I’d say are average quality. They’ve got a lot of interesting choices on the menu which I’ve heard are good but I’ve not had the chance to sample.
