Comwave is a nightmare.
I signed up and was told the install would happen in 10 days, between 8 and 5, and that they would provide me with a narrower time frame when it was closer to the date. They didn’t. I waited around for 9 hours for the tech they contracted who never showed up. Called Comwave at 5 to cancel my service, and had to FIGHT for the service representative on the phone to let me cancel. I have never repeated myself more in my life. After that, I got nothing but incredibly shocking rudeness. What kind of business practices that kind of treatment?
In between those 10 days, I had several other bad customer service experiences over the phone because of various things they’d mishandled. It’s clear that their reps aren’t trained very well.
Thankfully, I found a better service provider (better meaning it was the same price without a monthly download limit, and they actually showed up!). Don’t go with Comwave. If a «discount service provider» can afford commercials, avoid them. Avoid avoid avoid. So many other things were treated with incompetence.

This a review based on my experience with ephone.
Ephone is an offering with a free number, unlimited incoming call and available through web or mobile apps.
While the base service is free, there are different optional services including long distance minutes (USD $ 5,10, 30) and voicemail ($ 10/​year). Even though the long distance minutes can be used within Canada, the charges are in USD. As per ephone terms of service, the long distance minutes do not expire.
The offering is very promising at first glance. However, ephone was never fully implemented. The self service portal does not allow the users to change any of the optional services. I had two numbers set up. Each account has voicemail and long distance minutes. Before the anniversary of the voicemail subscription, I was unable to update my Paypal information. So voicemail was not renewed successfully.
However, Comwave also cancelled my accounts by taking away the base free numbers and all outstanding long distance minutes. The official support email of
is unresponsive. Escalation to support management at their call center has also been ineffective.
In this incident, Comwave acted unethically because it:
1) Changed the terms of service unilaterally without advanced notices to users.
2) Kept the payment without delivering the long distance minutes.

Fellow Comwave customers who have had problems or maybe nightmares from the poor customer service, misleading reps, long waits for customer service reps who provide no help, the run around etc…
Finally there is help don’t laugh … It’s true! Write an email to
explain your situation and watch what happens. I personally was truly impressed by Jon Rennie (not 100% sure on spelling) but all emails sent to
cross his desk.
My Comwave experience was 100% negative until a week or two ago when I got a call from Jon. My experience was so bad had gotten in touch with lawyers to see about starting a class action lawsuit. Anyway not sure how Jon found out about my situation with Comwave but think it was from my Unilocal review or maybe Twitter. What happened from his phone call to the next day having an apology in writing and full refund from all monies paid was remarkable.
I certainly hope Comwave has turned the corner and finally understands that we demand customer service and deserve it. I believe they are getting on track and with people like Jon will make us all happy one day.
As we certainly need more companies then Rogers & Bell #comwave

Whatever you do.
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS COMPANY OR CALL SELECT.
They have terrible customer service, none of their representatives know what their saying, you can never speak to a supervisor or manager.
The problem I have with Comwave is that, I made an over payment onto the account and I still haven’t got my refund back. Its been more then 2 months now and my bank is still chasing them for payment. These representatives keep telling me different BS each time I call. And apparently if I cancel with them I won’t even get my money back.
This company is a nightmare to deal with and they really need better business etiquette.

I wish I could give Comwave a negative billion stars.
So previously we called in to cancel our account. For some crazy reason, we got an email from them that we have agreed to continue our services! They even put my name down with my dad saying that we agreed to this.
I filed a complaint with the BBB. This company is ridiculous and if I could I would roundhouse kick them in the head.
