History

Established in 2003.

College Falafel is a quaint family operated business. The owners Bardhyl and Oljana Musa. both have an extensive background in the restaurant and food business.

Bardhyl, a graduate of the ‘Food Chemistry and Hospitality Services’ program at the University of Tirana, Albania (1986) has vast experience managing restaurants & creating original healthy menu options. Oljana graduated as a chef from the Culinary College in Tirana (1986) and was quickly promoted to head chef at one of the major restaurant’s in the city of Konispol.

The couple opened their first restaurant and bakery in December of 1990 in the town of Vrina in the Saranda district. Arriving to Canada in 1998 they were quick to upgrade there education at George Brown’s Bakery Arts program.

By 2003 they were back at it again, with the opening of their second restaurant «College Falafel». Dedicated to combining their uniquely created healthy menu items with recipes passed down from one generation to the next!

Business Owner

Bardhyl graduated from the ‘Food Chemistry and Hospitality Services’ program at the University of Tirana, Albania in 1986. Upon graduating Bardhyl worked throughout Albania managing restaurants. During this period he was also researching healthy menu options and provided the restaurants he managed with original recipes that he had created.

Oljana graduated as a chef from the Culinary College in Tirana, Albania in 1986. She was quickly promoted to head chef of a major restaurant in the city of Konispol. They opened their first restaurant and bakery in 1990.
