Clinic Ineed

BAD experience!!! purchased 2 groupons, 1 for single massage and other for couples massage. Booked for myself and my 2 nieces for us all to have massages on same day. Night before appointment, Christina called me to say that one of the therapists will not be able to attend. I was a bit upset due to the fact that I was treating my nieces and had planned a special outing. I spoke to John the owner next day & he seemed apologetic & told me he fired the therapist that was suppose to work on us, don’t think I needed personal info as such but it made me believe that he took his company seriously. So I rescheduled another appointment for the 3 of us with Christina 2 weeks later and she made me feel good because she remembered who I was. We showed up for our appointment on time yesterday, walked in and
John the owner looked at us as if we were not suppose to be there. I told him we had an appointment & he said no we didn’t.He didn’t seem surprised at all and wasn’t very apologetic, seemed as though he had a BIG chip on his shoulder. John couldn’t take the blame for his employees, who would want to work for a boss like that? He said he couldn’t do anything for us
yesterday but that we could reschedule for next week. I realized that this was second error too many. If his attitude was different, we may have wanted to go back, but the owner wasn’t worth our business!

Conveniently located right in front of Bay Station (Cumberland St exit). I received a groupon as a birthday gift for a hotlomi massage. I had never gotten a massage at a spa before and was not too excited for the experience. But I was pleasantly surprised! My masseuse was Saki, and she used strong pressure to ease the tension in my shoulders and neck. I like that she asked me how I felt about the pressure. The massage was lovely, the heated bag of oil was really soothing for my back. The massage was not rushed and used the full 45 min as stated on the groupon. The interior of the spa is very clean and cozy. The receptionist greeted me with a smile and was very nice. I think I will come back here for another massage and also do a facial.

Great non-​RMT massages. Been going since I stumbled on this place during the TIFF film festival 6+ years ago. Great hotlumi, Thai and Swedish massage. Excellent masseurs who know their stuff and the receptionist staff are smart and charming. Nice zen ambience for relaxing but not pretentious like other Yorkville spas.
Great prices too.

First time getting a massage, was a couples massage groupon deal. It was very good and relaxing. A whole body massage with hotel towels and oil. Felt like taking a nap in the room after, that’s how relaxed I was. Would definitely come back with the deal.

Nicely renovated, gem in Yorkville! I’ve been to a few of those «in house» spas, another one in Yorkville. Most of them are a bit dingy with the original flooring and finishings but with a fresh paint job. But Ineed seemed to have gotten a nice renovation since its previous establishment. With nice new flooring and Japanese style screens separating the front larger room as well as modern furniture and shelves. Seems like the owner has put some effort in the decorating.
Booking the appointment was fast and efficient. I was able to inquire about available time slots through email, which is easier when I’m trying to do this during work hours. They were fast to reply and I was able to call back to confirm the time with no problem. I had gotten a groupon for a couples massage. We got there a bit early and there was water available as we waited.
When I saw the masseuse I was a bit skeptical considering they were two relatively younger girls. But they used an arm elbow technique that puts enough pressure on my sore muscles. They also used a warm bag of gel with some oil which felt nice and warm and allowed their arms to glide smoothly over the skin. Overall the massage was very thorough and hit all the right spots. They didn’t waste time wiping all skin area slowly with a hot towel to «waste time» of the one hour massage like some other places do. That’s why they were able to get all the areas within the shorter 45 min massage. They were nice and courteous although I would have appreciated it if they had asked if there were any areas that I thought they could work on. Also another complaint I have with these places is that the face rest on the massage bed is usually just covered with a towel and never have enough breathing room. Other than that I would love to come back even at full price!

Bought a Groupon for 45 minute massage. The place was clean but I question if they clean the towels and place where you lay your face cause it looked flimsy and used looking. The 45 minutes massage was an all oil massage felt okay and was soothing. I would come back with another Groupon voucher use but not as regular. Overall an okay place for a massage

I had bought a Groupon voucher for a couples massage a couple weeks prior, when I called to book however they had limited space, however I still managed to book an appointment for the day I wanted. On the day of Clinic Ineed actually called me in advance to let me know they were running behind schedule and asked if they could push my appointment back by 15 mins, which was fine by me because we weren’t really in rush. The clinic is located in a very nice area, and coincidentally they were hosting Ice Fest, so we got to kill some time by enjoying the festival. When we finally arrived to the spa, we actually had to wait an additional 30 minutes. Personally, it didn’t really bother me, but I could understand how this could cause some major problems. They girl at the front kept apologizing and telling us that it wouldn’t be much longer. When it was finally our turn, my boyfriend and I were very satisfied with the massage. We each had a 45 min full body massage with paraffin wax which was used to warm up our bodies. The temperature of the wax was perfect, and overall the massage was very good. My masseuse adjusted her pressure to my liking, and was very attentive to my needs and focused on the areas that had the most tension. I have been to massages previously with my RMT, and this was very different. It was much more of a softer massage but just as relaxing. Also, this was my boyfriend’s first massage and he was thoroughly pleased with the entire experience as well. I would definitely come back in the future.
My only real complaint would have to be with the payment portion of the experience. Because I had a Groupon voucher I was only required to pay for tax and tip on the spot. However, the debit terminal was down and I had to leave the spa and walk about a block to the nearest convenience store so I could find an ATM. Typically I am completely understand of mechanical/​technical issues, because I know what if feels like to be the cashier with the broken terminal. However, before our massage I witnessed the same exact situation occur with the couple before us. So my only real issue was that if the terminal had experiencing issues, why was the call to technically support not already made before.
Other than that, it was an overall pretty great experience and we would definitely do it again.

I purchased two Groupons for 45 min massages for my cousin and I. I typically am skeptical of Groupon deals so I checked Unilocal and saw that Clinic Ineed has a good rating, however with not too many reviews. With my experience at Clinic Ineed, I’d like to add to these Unilocal reviews.
Clinic Ineed is in a convenient location within Yorkville, and easily accessible off the TTC, Bay station (Cumberland exit). When I came, they were having problem with heat and the room that I was in was cold and the floor didn’t look clean and had salt stains on the ground. I have doubts that their masseuses are professionals based on their techniques and my massage experiences with registered massage therapists.
The masseuse came into the room with a bag of hot oil which was used to warm up the muscles. This was the only saving grace from the cold room. Some heating pads would be helpful with the lack of heat. At the end of the massage, there were hot towels that were applied, but they cooled off so quickly that the cooling of the water made it even colder.
For the Groupon deal of $ 39, it was interesting and worth the trial run, however at full price I cannot justify going back to Clinic Ineed.

We purchased a groupon deal for a couples massage as well and we were thoroughly satisfied with this place. The service was timely, friendly, professional. The spa itself was clean — not a 5 star spa but it worked for the deal we got. The «hotlomi» massage was different but still enjoyable with the right amount of pressure; we both felt great and relaxed after.

I was very pleased with this spa. I bought a groupon for a couples massage and got a day of appointment which was fantastic.
The actual spa is very clean and relaxing and very trendy. I was very pleased with the staff as they were all polite and efficient. My massage was amazing, so amazing that I’m going to become a regular here. Don’t let their small size fool you, these massage therapists are strong and can really give you a great massage.
I’m very satisfied with this spa and will become a loyal customer.
